Iron levels still low - advice welcome
Medichecks suggested taking lysine (as well as eating more
iron
rich foods) - is this a supplement recommended here? Any advice welcome. Thank you in advance!

I asked for blood tests for VitaminsD and B12 and
iron
. I found out consultants had asked for a raft of tests too so I got the whole lot done together. She also referred me to the sleep clinic and prescribed a new spray for my sinuses.

Vit B and Ferritin levels
So had my FBC, Vit B and "
iron
" tests yesterday. Turns out they only tested Ferritin for
iron
, but I've got a full anaemia panel with MMH to complete this morning for a full picture.

dizziness recently diagnosed coeliac
She had very low
iron
levels for 6/9 months before her diagnosis. She has been gluten free since her diagnosis 3 months ago. There have been slip ups but only by mistake and only on 3/4 occasions . She was having dizziness regularly before diagnosis but this seemed to have stopped for a time.

Should my niece be treated for pernicious aneamia or at least b12 deficiency please
My neice had vitamin b12 result of 265 ( range is 211 to 911) and
iron
was low at the time . She was given
iron
tablets on prescription at time . Her ferritin was 14 (10 to 291 ) . HB was 130 (115 to 165 ) . I know they are in range but was thinking is she heading for pernicious anaemia .

Help with results please.
The doctor at Medichecks has wrote that: “In the presence of a raised CRP (inflammatory marker), the ferritin(meant to reflect
iron
stores) reading isn't always accurate. It can appear higher than your
iron
store level really is.

Thrombocytosis…..ET? UPDATE
I asked for
Iron
studies to be done as my Specialist forgot to do them (?!!), I had low Ferritin but not Anemia. I’ve been on
iron
supplements for
iron
deficiency without anemia for 3 months, my Ferritin levels are improving but platelets are still at 517 so maybe low Ferritin is not the cause….

T4 and T3 levels dropping
I started taking folate and
iron
supplements and was expecting these to help with the thyroid levels, but apparently that’s not the case.

T3 only worth another PROPER go?
(
Iron
is already rubbish) I’m having loads of symptoms of low stomach acid- acid reflux, poor digestion, constipation, no appetite. My dr has been adamant that T3 mono is still likely the best option for me.

Iron Infusion in the U.S.
Has anyone had Medicare pay for an
iron
infusion for their RLS? I meet the RLS guidelines for
iron
infusion, but I have been told that Medicare will not cover it because I am not anemic. If it was covered, can you share with me what code was used?

when will I start feeling better?
Have been injecting daily with methylcobalamin for 2 months as well as taking liquid
iron
. I’ve heard people say it takes “a while “ to start feeling better, just wondering how long we are talking. I need my daily dizziness to go away or know if it’s not being caused by anemia. Thanks!
