I can’t put my finger on it.,
My dad worked as an
iron
miner until they shut down in the early sixties. My mom stayed at home. There was never any problem drinking maybe an occasional drink at Christmas or a wedding but never saw knock down falling down drunk until I was married to my first husband. We all worked on the farm.

My plan is to increase my
iron
intake by using
Iron
Bisglycinate (which I hope will avoid constipation). The question is what is the correct dose.

High platelet count due to iron deficiency anaemia maybe?
Just again when I thought all was going well ! High platelet count from recent blood test shows Platelet count 515 10*9/L Platelet count has been abnormal for some time, but never this high. Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty

The other B vitamins
So far my daughter and I have tested B12, Folate, Vit D,
Iron
Panel, Thyroid antibodies, CRP. Is this something people here generally do as a belt and braces approach when the picture is very unclear and you need to rule stuff out?

chilblanes in summer? Help
I went to the GP for it and he gave me
iron
tablets before I even got a blood test. I’ve been taking them for a couple of months now but I’m still getting chilblanes. I’d been taking
iron
pills for nearly three weeks by the time my blood test was done.

why docs don’t want to prescribe opioids for RLS….😔
If you overdose on your
iron
supplement, you probably get a stomachache, throw up, or get really really constipated. If you overdose on gabapentin, you may get loopy and off-balance. If you overdose on a standard opioid, you could be dead.

Reducing Besremi dosing
All was going well with several benefits which hadn't happened the past 18 months on Besremi: My JAK2 Allele dropped more than 20%, I have not needed a PB for months which means I now have normal
iron
numbers, and my RBC was in the normal range which it hasn't been since DX years ago.

Total confusion about Ferritin (Medichecks) results!
I decided to do a Medichecks

Your thyroid and iron deficiency stories, please
Surely just a coincidence that it’s women who experience lower
iron
levels, as a rule. Surely). MCHC, transferrin, serum
iron
etc all out of whack, too. The alarming things are: a) I can’t take oral
iron
supplements at all.

Iron supplement help
I have ordered the three arrows
iron
repair to see if I can increase ferritin. Can anyone tell me from my recent results, if one 20mg capsule a day would push my other results over the range? Or would it take a much larger amount? I also take viviscal with 14mg of
iron
in it. Thank you!

what vitamins to take with hashimotos please?
I’ve been taking a multivitamin and magnesium, sometimes extra
iron
(my ferritin is generally low at 30-40) but I think it’s been said here not to take multivitamins? Trying to reduce the amount of pills I have to pop!

I have had mY

and with some
iron
tabs I'm back on track to feeling better so hopefully this may reassure you a little bit 😊 I'm worried for my future and that I'll have trouble conceiving but I guess you never know untill you try. Just praying that the endo won't be a barrier for me.

Antihistamine and probiotics
My RLS is currently much more controlled than it was, after
iron
infusion and am taking Gabapentin 400 mg- though insomnia still bad (apparently also a symptom of long covid). Has anyone experience of using antihistamines or probiotic supplements?

Included in the effects of Hydroxycarbamide (many but not significant) I am borderline or somewhat anaemic and my GP locum suggested
iron
supplements but I believe that I have heard that tinkering with
iron
can cause problems so I tried asking the Haematologist if that was ok?
