Update for my daughter re loading injections. and the rest.
My daughter has her appt with GP yesterday - she's 19 and although I was planning to go, had to agree when she said she wanted to do it on her own. Which I regretted! Here is the earlier thread which contains her results etc.: https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/149760385/daughter-starting-b12-

Hi all, I posted around a year ago, when I was “diagnosed”, then undiagnosed and lately back to being diagnosed again. I have been reading the threads but not posting…what a lurker lol. I have now had 3 weekly B12 injections, then I am to have one every 3 months. I am on iron as well. Latest test

Gabapentine or Pregabalin?
I am wondering whether there is any difference between Gabapentine and Pregabalin in terms of effectiveness. I take 2400 mg Gabapentine per day in 3X800 mg doses, but while I sleep my ok wife cannot sleep because of my movement. I am wondering if there is any other possible treatment that might work

Iron Bisglycinate
I have been taking Nutravita iron bisglycinate 28mg x 2 tabs on alternate days for 3 1/2 months. My ferritin levels were originally 50 and have only risen to 67. I’m confused about the dose of the iron. Is 28mg of iron bisglycinate equivalent to 28mg elemental iron? Sue said the two tablets (equaling

First results after switching to NDT. Help pls ...
Hi beautiful people, I shared a number of posts here about my thyroid journey. I switched to Erfa brand NDT 2 weeks ago after being on levo for 2 decades. I started from 0.5 grain, increased to 1 grain and then to 1,5 grains. I've been on 1,5 grains for about 5 days now. I checked my bloods 2 weeks

Ferrittin level (Different Opinions)
Last Wednesday (26th July) I had my 3 monthly blood test in relation to my Myelofibrosis and asked for my Ferrittin level and TSATS to be checked also. The Nurse/Clinician found Ferrittin on the data base but not TSATS and was a bit baffled by the whole TSATS thing. I concluded that I would only get

Recommendations for Iron panel?
Hello, Does anyone use an Iron Panel test which they can recommend? We have used Medichecks but got in such a pickle with the ferritin ranges/versus NHS ferritin range and results that I am looking for another company. Or to be honest it may have just been me who couldn't work it out. Just looking

Hi everyone,
Hi, I’m going to see my GP son about my restless legs but also, I’m waking up extremely disoriented. I wake up and for 15 minutes, I stare at my hands trying to work out why I can’t Google anything. Eventually I worked out that it was because I didn’t have my phone in my hands. It was the weirdest

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion

Negative HLA-B27
Quick recap, Dr originally diagnosed me with PMR, put me on 30 mg prednisone 14 weeks ago. After no great improvement he advised me to taper off so am now reducing 1mg every 3 days, currently at 16 mg. Dr tested for HLA-B27 (possible AS or non seronegative spondylitis type but bloods showed up negative

Thank you
Thank you for all your comments...ive got so many things wrong with me apart from CLL. Ive got spinal stenosis, chiari malformation, heart failure, its just one thing after another. I'm 63. Just really hoping I won't need chemo if this iron infusion works. Thank you all x

Chemotherapy
Hi guys, not been here for a while. My heamotologist rang this morning saying my red cells are low,and I'm anaemic even though I take an iron tab every day. Been on watch and wait with cll for over 14 years. A few years ago a different heamotologist gave me an iron infusion as he said levels were low

iron results
I’d appreciate some feedback on my iron panel results please? I know my ferritin is too low, even if it’s above the bottom of the range. I upped how much black pudding, pate, or liver I’m eating at 5 out of 7 days a week for over a couple of months. Is my iron too decent enough to be able to take

High Platelet Diagnosis Update….
I just thought I’d give an update after my latest phone call today with my Haematologist incase my info is helpful to anyone else going through similar…. A quick recap….nearly 2 years ago it was found I had a higher than normal platelet count (high 500’s) during a routine blood test. As this didn’t
