hello first of all Happy New year to you all. I am now on my 4th Chemo and have just had my dose reduced due to low white blood count. It has been low for cycle 2 and cycle 3 was delayed , for cycle 4 my oncologist reduced the dose. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I am a bit

Kisqali added to Letrazole
So I was diagnosed with stage 2b lobular BC on 3/2023. Had a double mastectomy on 5/2023 and radiation. Onco and mammaprint said “no chemo benefit”. 26 lymph nodes taken out and 2 positive. Now oncologist wants to add Kisqali to my treatment regimen even though I am “cancer free”. I am sure it is due

I will be well....
Hello- I am a 10 year IBS-D sufferer. It worsened over the past two years as i went through the loss of my husband of 40 years to a rare cancer. The IBS gut-brain axis is real as my anxious mind can attest to. My IBS started after an 8 month round of chemotherapy for an early blood cancer. I've

How do you get past the what ifs?
Hey Everyone, Best wishes for 2024. Apologies this is a negative post I'm only 7 months into this awful journey and I keep thinking of the what ifs. What if this is my last Christmas with my family ( youngest is only 10) When their birthdays come around I think what if this is the last one I'll have

Just some thoughts - ugghh!
Hi all, I am right in the middle of 6 rounds of chemo and doing strangely great as far as SEs go :) But, I find myself wondering way too often if fighting this was even the right call ffs. Is this just my mind getting best of me guys? **Advanced PC (with couple mets to bones) - on triplet therapy

Triplet Therapy
My husband is going to start triplet therapy starting with a firmagon shot next week followed by chemo. How much is the typical gap between ADT and starting chemo - 2 weeks, 4 weeks ?

"Two Invitae CHEK2 variants of "unknown consequence""
Hello - My Hopkins MO says this genetics test indicates a weakness (CHEK2 is one of the 4 or 5 PCa related variants) he thinks this could have contributed to my premature, two year BCR after RP, so he will likely prescribe chemo sooner than later though PSA will be the prime indicator. Further he suggested

Docetaxel not working so stopped
I promised I would update you after my scan to see how the chemo was progressing. Well, the main reason for the chemo was that spots had appeared in my liver. Last week's CT scan showed that the spots have grown "significantly" so the chemo is not working. Also, my liver function blood test results -

Confusing news from oncologist
Hi all, looking for some insight or direction based off of any experiences or similar ones. My dad started chemo in October with a PSA of 126. After 2 rounds of chemo, his PSA rose to 153, we saw some increase in his bone metastasis as according to the scans (posted about this previously). My dad

Blood in Urine
Hi fellow fighters Had blood in my urine the last 10 days. Hoped it was a UTI but a course of antibiotics has failed. I had a bladder neck incision last June to help urinary flow. The urologist saw a suspicious patch and a biopsy confirmed it my prostate cancer has spread to my bladder. I’m hoping

Diagnosed with all the arrhythmias and a 40% ejection fraction and I'm a little confused about what's to come...
Hi, So (I'll try and keep a long story short) 8 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had chemo, radiotherapy and surgery. 3 years ago I gave birth to my son and (in lock down) I'd walk for miles and miles with him in a sling. Around 2 years ago, while pregnant with my daughter, I got tired

Is nmCRPC potentially curable?
I would appreciate any input on this. I searched the internet and found this article from Fred Saad: Treatment of nonmetastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer: focus on second-generation androgen receptor inhibitors https://www.nature.com/articles/s41391-020-00310-3 I couldn't find anything

SMALL-CELL NEUROENDOCRINE CARCINOMA
Following prostate cancer first treated with low dose brachytherapy, then ten years later with high dose brachytherapy, from a biopsy following a Turp, I was diagnosed with SMALL-CELL NEUROENDOCRINE CARCINOMA. From a CT scan this was found in my prostate, bladder, and lower colon. I am told that it

happy holidays …. And a quick update
Just a quick note to wish all the warriors here a happy holidays with friends and family. As an update, I’m off all treatments and my psa remains <0.014. I remain grateful for the respite. My last degeralix injection and darolutamide was in May, and the SBRT to my ribs and neck about 2 years ago
