I have only had this Diverticular Disease/IBS for the last 3/4 years and as loads of people on this site has had it way longer than me!!! So I don't feel I have the right 2 moan about it YET!!! I have been given loads of tablets ETC from The Doc's and diet sheets also I simply would just like to have a normal POOP and not be frightened of going and it leaving me really scared that I will "UNBLOCK" myself to the watery stuff that I can't control and being afraid of any leakages every day I know this is not the right site for what I am going to write next but can any help !!! but would the chemo/radiotherapy I had for Breast Cancer in 2018/2019 could of triggered all this OFF? as now I got cataracts/AMD As every day I take all sorts of Meds to try prevent this tummy attacking me as I feel sure that could have knocked my immune system and messed me right up!!!!! any help or tips PLEASE as I just would like to have a normal worry free poop

No normal poop for most people with diverticular disease specially if you've had it for years and have had diverticulitis episodes. When the sigmoid is damaged it narrows and is unable to hold feces for long. Which means stools are not formed and look narrow and unformed.
