osteoporosis pain medication
Hi. I am suffering terribly with back pain recently and I don’t get on well with pain meds however even I know I can’t function like this it’s agony. The gp offered me codeine morphine etc but I can’t touch those or ibuprofen style medicine so I was wondering if anyone has been prescribed alternatives

I have been in pain since July in my left shoulder and upper arm. I’ve had 5 guess causes but no investigation to actually find out what’s wrong with me. Rotator cuff tear, upper arm muscle damage, trapped nerve, damaged nerve, frozen shoulder. I have had an x Ray that came back nothing wrong with my

How long does it take to get pain relief once on medication?
Reaching out for advice. I had a MINOCA first week of September. Since discharge from hospital I have still experienced fluctuating chest, arm and rib pain, breathlessness with light exertion and severe head pressure. First trip to hospital resulted in prescription for diltiazem hydrochloride.

Having two contraceptions
Hi, I'm about to get the Mirena coil but I'm currently on the depo injection. I was wondering if it's ok to be on two contraceptions at once? I'm thinking it might help with the transition and pain as I'm really struggling to get strong enough pain killers from my GP. They have prescribed mefenamic

Obstructive defecation anyone ?
So, I've been referred for an anal manometry and and endo anal ultrasound. A digital rectal exam is painful enough so I'm wondering whether these are too? Anyone had one??

Painkillers for nerve pain / side effects
I am a 71 yo male with PAF / exercise induced AF, which doesn’t overly affect me too much. I am fairly active and a regular cyclist. Recently I have been suffering with a trapped > irritated Femoral Nerve in my Left leg. This is quite painful at times and keeps me awake at night. I have been attending

This is not normal, I’ve lived with this for 15 years worst it’s ever been. Can’t get in to see consultant. naproxen 4x a day with paracetamol as a pain killer is now not lasting

Barrett's Syndrome
I was wondering if anybody had developed this syndrome after taking heart drugs (particularly Aspirin, Clopidogrel and similar) and/or painkillers like Naproxen? Also were you taking a PPI like Omeprazole or Lansoprazole at the same time? P.S. Predictive text suggested the Capri Grill for Clopidogrel

Hi it has been a good couple of years since I was last on here . I suffered terribly from RLS . It had got to the stage where it seemed all over my body too . Hi everyone, I had my first laparoscopy yesterday and as suspected they found endometriosis. I’ve been waiting a long time for this diagnosis so I’m really pleased that I have an answer. I’m participating in a blind clinical trial that hopes to understand endo pain better so I have no idea if they

My rectrum pain
I was diagnosed with IBS two years ago, but I have always had my doubts, so have one or two doctors whom I have visited in the past, I was literally told to get on with it, and offered no medication at all what so ever, my symptoms have slowly got worse over the months, and now I am in chronic pain constantly

Hi everyone!
Hi everyone! I hope you are as well as can be. After having covid for the 2nd time in June, I've now been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I already have CFS so this is a double whammy. I cannot seem to get the pain under control especially in my legs. I seem to live on painkillers but they don't seem to

Very last stage
hi everyone, Colin has been put on “end of life” drugs now via a syringe driver, he stopped eating last Wednesday, although he hadnt eaten or had anything to drink much for while, as he is now unable to open his mouth. He has lost so much weight so quickly. Getting him to take his painkillers was a nightmare

toothache
it’s been a month now since my tooth nightmare happened. Now my dad’s turn 🙈. He’s in so much pain, had to go into emergency but useless. They said no infection or anything. Just gingivitis. Dads insisting something has to be wrong. Painkillers aren’t helping. Hope he can sleep tonight 😥

ProRenal + D kidney health multivitamins
hello everyone. Recently saw a vitamin on Amazon created by Nephrologists (I think). Lots of reviews on Amazon and other sources mention that it lowered their creatinine. Anyone else heard of these renal vitamins and benefits before?? I have my dad (testing) whose creatinine went from less
