Feet are numb
I am most fortunate that, although my Neuropathy, was initially painful, the bottoms of my feet have since become numb. Proper use of insulin, has helped a lot, along with a fairly strict diet and my feet are somewhat less numb than they were previously. I need to exercise more but that's hard to do

Skipped meal
Hi. I skipped my supper and so didn’t take any Humalog insulin. For the first time, I feel like I've committed a crime and I'm dreading a hypo. or the opposite - sugars going high during the night. ...I know it was silly of me to do so, but I'm going to hope I'm okay and wake up feeling fine and not

Battling with type 2 diabetes
Hi Just joined you guys. In my early 60s and type 2 diabetes for a few years. Needed to start insulin recently and piled on the weight with it even though being really good with my diet. Never tried running before but seems to be helping even at start of week 3.

Concentrated sugars (!) & PCa.
New paper from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial. We know that prostatic cells prefer fatty acids as fuel & that radio-labeled glucose PET can't be used to diagnose PCa, so what to make of the new study? Note that: "There were no linear associations between prostate

Feeling sorry for myself
I've always eaten a healthy diet. Food cooked from scratch virtually every day. We never had takeaways or fast food. I've never smoked and don't drink. ( I sound like a real barrel of laughs don't I?) I had graves disease when I was 32, which is in autoimmune condition and am type 2 diabetic. As were

New to diabetes type 2
I am 76 yrs old and was a research scientist. I was non-diabetic till a year back with normal fbs and ppbs and HbA1C of 5.9 to 6.1 till then. But then this year, in the month of February, I was shocked to find that my fbs became 430 and ppbs 750 and HbA1C of 17.3. I was on insulin for about three weeks

Everywhere you look for information about PCOS the word “Keto” soon follows. It is impossible to miss and quite frankly everything you read makes it sound like the holy grail. So I like most Cysters, began to look into this craze. One of the first articles I found was from Women’s Health. It spoke
