Benefits of Mannitol
Because mannitol is only partially absorbed by the body, it significantly reduces the rise in blood glucose and insulin levels that occur following the ingestion of glucose. Mannitol is a member of the sugar alcohol family and has the following advantages: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/sweeteners/mannitol.html

Low gfr...normal creatinine, protein, and albumin
I've been Dx'd with mixed connective disease. Recently I got labs done and received the results. My gfr was 53 and albumin, protein, and creatinine all normal, in blood and urine. Also I was Dx'd with diabetes 2 but have not had any problems with it, all A1c's have been normal for 6 out of 7 years since

Homecare and help
Well I’m really happy to hear that I’m going to get help here where I live and I won’t have to worry about getting a ride to travel so far to get it. I’m so thankful to the Lord that I’m finally getting proper care in regards to my feet because of the lymphoedema and the proper care that my body needs

PCOS, male hormones, no insuline resistance and IUDs.
Hello. Please, I've been diagnosed with PCOs in December 2016 and, since then, I've been taking birth control pills (as a form of contraception in my long-term relationship and as a treatment in itself). Because I am very afraid of getting pregnant and really do not want kids, I take my pill religiously

PIP-joints deforming, ganglions, CTS, underactive thyroid....?
Hi all, Since a few years I have problems with my hands/fingers. My PIP-joints in 4 fingers deformed and my hands lose mobility/flexibility. I also have CTS in both wrists. I cannot make a fist anymore, meaning in daily life it gets more difficult to get a good grip on things in my hands. Especially

All you need to know about Exenatide
The much anticipated results of a phase 2 clinical trial of exenatide have been published in The Lancet, and have since appeared widely in the media. The findings offer hope that drugs like exenatide can slow the course of Parkinson’s — something no current treatment can do. So, generally how does exenatide

Causes of Sexual Dysfunction
Endocrine Diseases: An example of endocrine disease is diabetes. It can cause a person to develop impotence. Diabetes affects the utilization of insulin hormone. A side effect of chronic diabetes is nerve damage. It impairs the flow of blood to the genital area and can affect the levels of hormone. Neurological

Sugar question
Sorry, didn’t copy & paste well. It basically said cancer cells have 14 times the number of insulin receptors as healthy cells-they need to scoop up as much glucose as poss. In a scan, Half a small bar of chocolate will light up a cancer-because cancers love sugar” Any comment, detractors? Just interested

Has anyone on here tried Inulin?
Hello All I was reading about this soluble fibre the other day and was interested to find that Angela Rippon took it when she found out, as part of her research for the 'How to stay young' programme: that, although she has an enviable slim figure; she has (or had) a lot of visceral fat around her organs
