Sinusitis/Rhinitis
Sinusitis third time in 18 months, been on Anti-biotics again, been told I need a Steroid nasal spray and to use it all the time (have to see how that goes) Dr said to put a warm mug of tea or whatever and hold it against your blocked sinuses on your face, the warmth loosens off the mucas and helps inflammation

Health Check: what’s the right way to blow your nose?
With our compromised immune systems, a common cold can lead to secondary bacterial infections requiring antibiotics which can progress into serious and even deadly illnesses - such as pneumonia. Yet just learning how to blow your nose the right way can reduce the risk of serious secondary infections

I have sinusitis which I have had for many years. My doctor was not on duty that day so saw a practice nurse. I said I needed the usual antibiotics which he gave me on rare occasions when I needed them. She then did tests for asthma , and prescribed medication for this. After taking the steroids and

sinus pain
I did some stand up exercises yesterday morning which consisted of standing touching my toes. I didn't do it for long. However, after a few seconds, I became dizzy ( resulting from the repeated bending down to touch toes) and this then developed in to sinus pain which I still have. I'm thinking this

Sinus pain
Hi, I'm just had a sinus flare up now and the pain is horrendous because it's so severe. People who haven't experienced sinusitis don't realise how painful it is. Today I stood next to someone waiting to cross the road who was puffing away on a cigarette. I tried to hold my breath so as not to breath

Does having APS cause it to take a long time to get over illnesses or heal from minor cuts or injuries? I've been ill with sinus issues for over a month, even with antibiotics and steroid nasal spray. Starting to get better now, but never had it take this long before.

Is aromatherapy safe with PMR/GCA?
Hi, I started with a cold two weeks ago and now have sinusitis, I have been doing steam inhalation with some drops of aromatherapy oils in, is this ok? Have also been rubbing some oils in my chest at night, will it interfere with my medication? I saw my rhuemy at the beginning of the week but sinusitis

Hi All, I am in my mid-30's and have had asthma all my life. Last winter I ended up in hospital because of a bad chest infection. This winter I have been determined to stay on top of things. I think I've come to the conclusion that my chronic sinusitis has caused a lot of my asthma symptoms so I

Has chronic sinusitis affected treatment or outcome?
In addition to the enlarged nodes with SLL/CLL B-cell my cat scan shows chronic sinusitis. ENT said no hurry, but I read yesterday that it's a major infection to be concerned with. Now what?

Anyone else suffer with reoccurring sinus problems?
I seem to get sinusitis quite regular and end up on antibiotics as the infection never seems to go on its own. I suffer for weeks at a time and as a lupus sufferer it really takes it out if me, I'm tired more, ache more and generally feel really sorry for myself. Just wondered if there is some sort

Coping with sinusitis
I used to suffer from excrutiating sinusitis. I cut down on dairy foods .Use soya milk in cereals, mild cheese, and butter as a treat now and then. I use mayo in sandwiches. Semi-skimmed milk in coffee - limited. Delighted to say my sinuses cleared within a month and have now gone for over 2
