Diagnosis in tough times for the NHS
Hi all. Was diagnosed with COPD April this year. Can’t have Spirometry yet. Don’t know what type/stage of COPD I have either. I have an inhaler - not sure if it helps or not. Gave up smoking without support so that’s something, though I don’t feel better for it which surprises me. Any advice?

Fostair 200 inhaler
My Fostair inhalers seem to stop working at between 30-50 puffs left. This is at least the third time it’s happened so a bit worrying.

Shortness of breath today
Last weekend I had to have my beautiful cat, Tammy put to sleep. Yesterday, I stayed in bed all day as I felt so down. I have got up today as I have to go to work and I am so short of breath and feeling chesty. I have used the blue inhaler but that has not helped. Is it possible that due to me not moving

Recent report on controlling high insulin levels.
Findings published in a new report in the British Medical Journal shows that the sweetner Allulose significantly reduces glucose and insulin levels following sugar consumption. https://drc.bmj.com/content/9/1/e001939

Facial allergy
Hi I have been using Relvar ellipta 184 for seven days. I got a rash on my face, redness under my eyes. Could this be a problem with the new inhaler? I don't know what to do. Thanks for all the answers.

HU & breathlessness
I’ve been on HU for 7!years and I noticed after about 9 months I was getting very slightly breathless. However, 7 years down the line I am extremely breathless . Walking from room to room I am slightly breathing heavy. Going upstairs I am very breathless and also just plain walking I get breathless.

Help with Inhaler use identification
Hi, I've had a good look online but cannot find much other than scientific medical papers (which aren't much help), but I'd like to know specifically whats in my inhalers, what they are for, and which overlap with each other. They are: Flutiform, Symbicort, Tiotropium (Sprivia respimat), Striverdi

Newly diagnosed with Asthma
I caught COVID back in March 2020 and struggled with breathing for most of the 2020. I'm a cyclist used to riding 100+ miles per week and I was struggling to do 30m. I eventually got diagnosed with asthma due to COVID and prescribed FOSAIR 100/6 which really did work. My peak flow is 590 and with the

How long for Spiriva to kick in?
Hey all, I just prescribe a Spiriva inhaler as a add on to my Fostair for perpetual asthma. How long did it take for you to notice the preventative effects? My doctor said it should be a few days, but a quick google search said 4-8 weeks. Just trying to get a sense of what to expect, and when to let

Salbutemol Versus Ventolin
Would like to know what other people think about Salbutemol inhaler versus Ventolin. I have always found Ventolin to be the better option for me even though they are supposed to be exactly the same

Desperate mama
My almost 5 year old son started with coughing symptoms at night around the age of 2, he sleeps soundly until about 12AM-2AM and then wakes up with forceful persistent coughs, mostly when a cold is circulating in the house. He was on so much prednisone and eventually we started a preventative inhaler

Peak flow after blue inhaler
Hi all, I was diagnosed with asthma during the first lockdown and I've queried the diagnosis since the blue inhaler never gave me much relief from my symptoms. I've never had an asthma attack as such but what prompted the diagnosis was the fact that I had an episode in which I was bent over my kitchen
