First Post. Uniquie Symptoms?
I have read now for 2 years and 3 months. At first I could barely follow. I wanted to thank you all. A heartfelt thank you. The information has been critical in my journey. It also helps to know that I am not alone in being abused by those in the medical field. A hematologist said to me. "Well

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
I was diagnosed with Bronch March 22 with a CT scan. I am 71 and 3 years ago I was working....walked my dog twice a day and led a very active life. I am really struggling to accept that my life now is very limited. I paid to see a Dr last August who specialises in helping people get the right treatment

I’m so confused! What do my results mean.
This was my first test, I never thought of myself having problems with breathing ever to be honest. I was in for allergy results and he listened to me and didn’t like it. I did a spirometer test and I struggled so bad. Now that it’s been brought to my attention I feel the chest tightness on deep breathes

Advice re pulmonary fibrosis
my husband has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and is coughing dreadfully to the point he aches all over. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding medication, inhalers etc. that might ease things. All the medics have said is that it’s incurable and will only get worse which is no help at all

"Honeymoon phase" in Hypothyroidism?
After a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes (an autoimmune condition), there is often a “honeymoon phase” where a small percentage of the pancreatic beta cells continue to produce insulin for a period lasting from a few weeks, several months, to as much as 1-2 years. Asthma cough
Started on Dupilimab a month ago.For the last ten days I have been coughing a lot - even when lying down. Been a bit snotty so I assumed it was rhinitis again - I have sterimar and neilmed sinus rinses. Ears feel " full" as well. A deep breath is enough to bring on a cough - even using my inhaler brings

bronchietasis
the only help I have is Incruse Ellipta inhaler. I do not cough up much phlegm , I also suffer from asthma and Emphysema. I have low energy levels, is this normal ?, also breathlessness even just sitting down, and a heaviness in the chest. Walking can be difficult, I have to take it slow, not what I

Fostair - prescription every 30 days
my fostair prescriptions have never been a problem before. However, yesterday I found out that my latest request is approved, but on hold until the 8 February. Seems I can now only have them every 30 days. 120/4 does equal 30. However, as is often discussed here, the dosage is affected as the inhaler

Have just been diagnosed with bronchomalacia on top of asthma and adrenal insufficiency
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has the same conditions as me. Over the last 14 months I've been hospitalised 5 times and treated with 300mls of hydrocortisone and antibiotics intravenously. As I have acquired adrenal insufficiency my poor body takes ah awful blow and when I come down from the steroids

Anyone else had problems with Salamol CFC-Free MDI Inhaler 100mcg
I was given this in place of ventolin. From the start, it seemed like a ventolin inhalor when it's blocked (slow and sluggish to spray) two weeks in and hardly used it just stopped working at all. My doctors surgery have said ventolin is no longer available on the nhs and have now prescribed me airomir

powdered inhalers
Hi everyone Just wanted to share some good news for me that may help you too. I switched from Seretide 500 Evohaler (the spray/aerosol type). to the Accuhaler (powdered version) in summer last year. I suggested it purely as I was at my wits end, I tried every other inhaler going and none of them worked
