I had a Spiromerty test a few weeks ago at hospital and I recived my Letter this morning hospital said I had asthma from the age of 33 I don't have asthma its copd I need a differant inhaler as the ones I had for asthma don't work for copd.I walked to the shop and back to the genal and was breathless.

could you have asthma and some other lung issues have asthma and bronchiecstasis, both diagnosed in 2012, and both with different symptoms. I would go and see your gp for clarification, and maybe the correct medication.
I agree, speak to your consultant/whoever requested the spirometry for clarification. There can be overlaps in the myriad of diseases/disorders the lungs fall victim to! E.g. I had an excellent consultation yesterday , the dr explained clearly why my asthma is now only on my notes as 'background childhood asthma ' , why the bronchiectasis seems to appear and disappear depending on the radiologist's interpretation etc etc. It made perfect sense then but I've had a sleep since! 😂 What I'm trying to say is conditions can overlie each other but what's important is getting the appropriate and correct treatment that suits you.
