Too late for Sick Day Rules?
My partner (PMR for 2 years) started what we thought was a cold on 3rd Nov. We were due to go abroad for 5 days in the sunshine, which we thought would do him good. Covid test was negative. He was quite poorly while we were away so he did a LFT Covid test on the first day, which was negative. Soon

My Story
Hello everyone, I have been reading random posts on MPN voice but have not posted yet. So, this is my first post. Here goes. I always go for regular checkups with my Primary doctor. Starting in early 2021 my doctor told me that he was a little concerned about my platelet count. For about 9 months

When Palpitations ruin your week 馃檮
Hi there, I was just wondering what folk do to reduce palpitations please? I had a Pfizer covid booster last Wednesday and since then my palpitations have gone up significantly. I have a history of heart rhythm problems but no trouble with 2 previous covid jabs (AZ and Moderna) so this was a surprise. Not

Pernicious Anaemia and Covid Treatments
I was recently newly categorised as extremely vulnerable (potentially for needing longer term steroid treatment for allergic reactions rather than my recently diagnosed PA?). Unfortunately I have just caught Covid and gone downhill fast. I have received my obligatory NHS phone call for treatment assessment

Delayed Reaction to Covid Vaccination
I had my 6th booster COVID vaccination , Pfizer bivalent version just over a week ago (8 days ago). I was fine in the days that followed, just a soar arm. However today, I am off colour, slightly raised temperature (37.3 my normal is 36.2), have the shakes, feeling cold, coughing up a little yellow

Long covid
Interesting to read this week about the lady with long covid & had to reduce her thyroxine. I got covid in March which lingered a couple of weeks & went but then returned & I realized that I had long covid. Obviously, like the rest of us we attribute all bad days to the thyroid. I also reduced my thyroxine

Can anyone comment on Stanford Medicine Health Care second opinion program?
How long did it take to get the second option, did it help guide you? My doctors are exploring cryotherapy, Brachy Therapy and surgery to remove the prostate. But ultimately, the final decision will be mine. I'm trying to understand the risk and success factors of each option. I was diagnosed 11/21

Blood pressure while on ACTEMRA
Hello, I had my infusion on Wednesday. I was exposed to someone with Covid the Sunday before and thought I may have covid because of the pretty bad headache I developed in Friday. As the day went on it got worse so I decided to check my blood pressure since I did not have any other covid symptoms. My

COVID and hypo symptoms?
I had been under the impression that we had a dedicated post, but apparently we don't. I have heard that some hypo patients have a rush of hypo symptoms with a COVID infection, but am unsure if that might be the norm, or if some hypo patients don't experience anything other than cold-like symptoms like

Covid polls?
I recall reading recently, that we have a dedicated post for experiences of COVID infections with hypothyroidism, but I can't find one. Help would be much-appreciated.

When does covid become long covid? And when does it become a thyroid issue?
Hi all, I can see DippyDame started a similar thread recently which was closed. To avoid that please could we avoid talking about the covid vaccine? I had my 4th booster (amd flu jab, if its relevant) on 14th October and got covid for the first time on 28th October. I tested positive for 8 days.

First one was Astra Z with zero reaction what so ever, second one was Moderna which gave me a banging headache and the third which was last Wednesday was Pfizer, this one has given me a few hours of shivering and palpitations
