Allergy induced Asthma for real?
Had childhood asthma but don't remember. Two years ago, I started sneezing uncontrollably. Then constant coughing. Allergist told me I had AIA. Tons of allergy test, yet no reactions. Even blood tests. Still no reactions. Determined my sinuses were impacted and needed surgery. Had surgery and was told

Hi I have been to the dentist about 2 years ago for root canal etc with no problems whatsoever. I have absolutely no fear of needles or dentists, few weeks ago he injected anaesthetic

NHS Food allergy testing, Is it reliable?
Hello everyone, one last question (sorry) I have finally got a food allergy skin testing appointment (for next year) Apparently if you think you are allergic to fruit or veg, you have to bring the fruit and veg along - If I knew what I was allergic to then I wouldn't need the test. Is this reliable

Hi All For those of you who remember me you may have assumed I had yet again gone off the rails and left the forum to plunder the local sweet shop. Never! Well - not this time at least. I have just been really busy with the new job and compared to the last job - where I sat on the net all day! - its

Another Apixaban query
Hi all I know us Apixiban users have been discussing this drug relating to low mood and depression recently but I wonder if anybody has experienced any issues with alcohol and apixaban? My potted history is that I've been on Apixaban (with a short switch for a few weeks to rivoraxaban) for just over

Hello there I was diagnosed with Graves and mild TED in 2007, after first baby started on meds PTU but did nothing. Tried so much, got amalgam fillings out, water filter, homepathy you name it. The only thing that helped me get my levels back was at age 42 I went to an amazing doc to help with fertility

Morning all ..... After a trip to the hospital last Friday for bloods and a skin prick allergy test, using public transport, I've picked up a stinking cold..... Feeling annoyed because I've been really careful where I've been and used antibacterial lotions !!! Fingers crossed it didn't spread to you

Have you been offered an allergy test?
Having seen a few posts where people have said doctors have been reluctant to offer an allergy test, I'm wondering if this is a common problem? Personally I struggled with severe asthma my whole childhood - saw many nurses, GPs, consultants, etc., none suggested an allergy test and finally one consultant

Test results
Just spoke to doc about results: they didn't check my free t3 and t4 it was a gamble they would. Here are my results she said thyroid TSH level fine 2.65 , vit d a little low but over counter vitamins should rectify, advised her what new supplements taking. She is testing my b12 and folate for macrocytosis
