Thyroid test results
Hi as per first post I am trying to find out why I have heavy periods. Back in 2004 I had one so bad I had to take the day off work due to disabling cramps and clotty cycle. I have underactive thyroid but my results are not deemed severe enough to be causing this problem. Diagnosed 2008 with hypothyroidism

Hypothyroid - tingling and numbness, help with results please :)
Hi, I was diagnosed hypo in November last year - very high antibodies, so have Hashimoto's. I've had 1 increase in levothyroxine (now on 75mcg) and my last thyroid results are: TSH: 2.2 (0.4 - 4) FT4: 20 (10 - 20) FT3: 4.9 (2.8 - 6.8) This is a massive improvement on original results (TSH 160, FT3 <0.1

Hi there
Thanks for letting me join. I am 32 years old. I have found it hard to come to terms with my hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 2011 but did not start treatment until 2012 when my TSH was over 20 and a Free T4 below 11. My symptoms are mainly not going to the toilet every day, acne, dry skin

Thyroid & B12
I didn't know if my B12 was affected by my thyroid ... so I took a B12 supplement - had a blood test for B12 and I'm hoping to goodness that it was high because I stupidly took B12 wen I didn't need to. I know a high B12 can mean something more serious. B12.... 1104

Hi new member here
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2011. No idea what to do really. I feel so emotionally exhausted all the time, feel like I am losing a battle with the GP and endo. I have symptoms such as anxiety, constipation, joint pain, feeling cold, dry skin, mouth ulcers. Do I post results. Also

Vitamin and Mineral Supplement Suggestions
Hi everyone, I went to see my GP last Friday with my Blue Horizon results (in Bio). She agrees autoimmune thyroid disease but said my TSH wasn't hugely above range (along the "nothing to worry about" lines) and my T4 is "fine" so she won't medicate straight away as I'm "too young" (ahem...31!) and being

Panic attacks (maybe)..help!
And so I don't really seem to have Anxiety, (so maybe this is the wrong place for me afterall, just not sure where else to turn to) But there were no problems from my bloodtest, and I was given some 40mg
inderal
pills to take as required, but they seem to work as a preventative measure and do nothing

Hyperthyroidism, low B12, raised iron and ALT.
Hi, I had Graves Disease 5 years ago and recovered fairly quickly with carbimazole. My thyroid is over active again so GP has put me back in carbimazole. Low B12 but test for celiacs and intrinsic factor is negative so I'm taking a high dose of B12 tablets and will be retested in 6 months. Does anyone

Vitamin K
Hi I know many advise taking Vitamin K when taking Vitamin D supplement but my concern is that the Vitamin K has an effect on blood clotting. As my father died of a stroke at the age of 58 I worry that the Vitamin K would make my blood more prone to clot if I am genetically prone to have thicker blood

How to determine amount of injectable B12 ml's to take, when switching from oral to injections?
I've been taking 10,000-15,000 mcg oral methylB12 and 400 mcg methylfolate. I just received my Oxford BioSciences methylB12 injectable. My doctor said that even though my transcobablamin B12 binding capacity is deficient, that the protein needed to carry it into cells isn't being executed properly, this

B12 supplementation
Hi I receive b12 injections every 12 weeks and I supplement daily both by tablet and oral spray. As I understand it, b12 is stored in the liver and released into the gall bladder where along with folic acid etc a substance called intrinsic factor is created. I am not sure if this is entirely correct
