Hi FYSON123

B12 Side effects

The pimples/acne, is likely to be caused by microbes on your skin reacting to the additional B12 by producing substances that your skin is then reacting to. In theory this could be resolved by use of a good skin wash. You might have better luck talking to your pharmacist and seeing what they can recommend prior to your next maintenance shot - though there is always a chance that it was something that won't recur.

I am not a medically trained person but I've had P.A. (a form of B12 deficiency) for more than 45 years, I has an allergic reaction to hydroxocobamalin when it was introduced in the 1980s.

I wish you well

Hi do you know that PA is a cause of low stomach acid?

Not being able to diagest protein to get your vitamins and minerals?

Please research on this for your self maybe that's what you been having all this years Watch "The one penny stomach acid test | Dr Anthony Talorico" on YouTube

Thank you Mrtractorist34 for the above interesting articles.

In my case - it was the other way round.

I had a perforated peptic ulcer at the age of 17 in 1959 and had two thirds of my stomach removed leaving me with low acid levels, but sadly it was not until 13 years later in 1972 following a second "Schilling" test (first one was in 1968 - inconclusive) that I got the P.A. diagnosis and treatment - by which time I was a "walking Zombie".

Thanks again and I wish you well.
