alternative iron supplements to Iron Biglycinate
Hello there! I'm wondering how Britangerine's experiment with Liver went? Was she able to get her ferritin iron to increase? I started taking the desiccated liver pills from Solar. They are too big to swallow whole so i break them into four. Breaking them up means you taste the pill- but (for me

High liver levels and low B12
Is it safe to take b12 5000 mcg when one has elevated level of liver. I’m new to low level b12 and have gained a lot of hope from your site. Thanks Sorry should mention my 334 b12 level. With neurological symptoms

Iron shots
Has anyone with low ferritin had vitamin shots? I know you would be given them on nhs if you were low enough. My ferritin is low, ( not low enough for nhs) and have started supplementing with iron again, but I know this can take a long time to build up in your system and make a difference. I’ve found

B12 or not B12??
Hi all, I’ve been feeling unwell (dizzy, tired, confused, weak) for over 18 months, B12 was 392 at the “beginning”, so seemed ok. When I feel unwell my blood pressure is low (78/58 today). If I take lots of B12 I seem to improve, but get acne, and I’m not sure I’m even doing the right thing, seeing

Iron in all its forms.
This description of the various forms of iron came up in an answer on the Iron Disorders Institute email forum. I have got permission from the poster to share on this site. Hopefully it will clarify some of the mystery about the whole iron situations in our bodies. "Serum Iron - circulating iron, subject

Vitamin shots?
Can vitamin shots help give a better boost than pills? I’m considering having a Glutathione shot and a B12 Hydroxocobalamin as I read this is converted to Methylcobalamin and Adenosylcobalamin in the body. I’m focusing on increasing my energy levels and thought these shots would help, and are affordable

B12 test
After starting b12 injections how do we know if the B12 is reaching cellular level. Levels show up high but is there any test to find it is working other than reduction in symptoms?

How much folate should I take.
Hi I have popped over from the thyroid forum and I posted here a few weeks ago as I was confused as to why my Active B12 result was top of the range but serum B12 was only 385. I am now wondering why my recent folate level was rather low at 6.95 ug/L 2.91 - 50.00 I was and I still take Thorne Stress

B12 and Iron
Hello, I'm new here. I would love to pick the brains of the B12-educated people about the relationship between B12 and iron. I found one previous post from 2 years ago, from a woman showing her high serum iron and saturation levels apparently coinciding with her B12 supplementation. This is the case

Hi all ... I'm a bit confused as despite the extraordinary amount of sun I am getting due to our very long & hot summer my Vitamin D levels have dropped since last November from 93 to 58 ... Help Please Iron Blood Test
I am hypo currently being treated on combination of T4/T3. Understand if iron levels are out that thyroid meds do not work efficiently. Have read how important it is to have a full iron blood test done - Serum iron, complete blood count, total iron binding capacity, transferrin saturation and serum

Do other medications interact with b12 injections
My mum's b12 level were at 274 last year, she went on to have a TIA. I think it ws caused by years of taking metformin. Her GP refused to give her trial of b12 injections but gave her a private prescription of 5 viles of b12. My question is, is it safe for her to take b12 with the medication she is
