New as-yet-unnamed 'condition' and 'protocol' coming out for self-injectors...
For a year now I have been trying to get my MMA and Homocysteine tested by the NHS and they have ignored and refused. I asked my doctor to speak to the lab and was shocked to hear they've been 'monitoring people like me' and are developing a 'nationwide protocol' for 'people like me' who 'seem to get

Vitamin D Deficiency
Hey all. Just an update. I had lab work done for bariatric surgery a few days ago and found out that my Vitamin D is very low so I did my research and found out that low vitamin d levels can cause depression and anxiety along with other things. So my doctor started me on 50000 mg vitamin d once a week

High active B12 but I have all the symptoms of B12 deficiency
Hi I have just got my results back from medichecks for active B12 which is 256 pmol/L which they say it's high. I'm not on any supplement and the reason I had the test done is because I am having all the symptoms of B12 deficiency. How can this be? I have brain fog, anxiety, I can't remember things and

Recovery if b12 deficiency is due to diet.
Hi. I just asked my naturopath to do another b12 test to see where I am. Turns out my gp did not believe me that I have low b12 even though I’m in range at 332 range being 155-655 in Canada. I’ve been ill for a year. Tingling in head and all over body. Dizziness, balance problems, fatigue you name it

Vitamin D deficiency and Anti-epileptics - Pregabalin, Gabapentin etc
Anyone have any thoughts on vitamin D deficiency bought on by anti epileptic drugs. I am on Gabapentin and just learned that it can deplete the body of magnesium. I was just reading this article which says if on these drugs you should take at least 7,000 vit D per day. I do wonder whether the reason

Places you order your vitamin B12 injections
Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone had used vitaminb12online to get their vitamin B12 injections? I’ve just received mine and now have cold feet injecting myself with something I’ve bought online 😄

Campylobacter and B12 deficiency
A year ago I caught Campylobacter (it's like an evil dose of salmonella or gastroenteritis) from a manky chicken when I worked in a supermarket. It is a notifiable disease and can be lethal in some cases. Luckily after about 8 days I was better. At least I thought I was OK but since then have been tired

Iron Supplement Recommendation
Hello Can anyone suggest a well tolerated, good iron supplement for me please? I've been using ProThera Iron Chelate, but it's out of stock and I don't know where else to get it. Solar Gentle Iron did absolutely nothing for me. Even doubling up on them.

alternative to b12 injection
Hello. I'm kindna new here but believe I've posted before. I was wondering if anyone has used the B12 Eligen pill which it states that it is just as effective as B12 injections for PA. I am having difficulties getting my doctor to give me additional shots(I get them monthly) as sometimes I get the jelly

how to get an IV iron infusion
My Ferritin level is 29.7. I know that I need to get it up to 100-350 range and the best possibly only way to get my levels up that high is an IV iron infusion. Even though I've explained the situation that RLS suffers needed higher levels, and just how hard it can be to obtain those levels with oral
