B12 absorption
Hi All I read this on the NIH website. Is it true that, by eating foods fortified with b12, one can overcome the problem of insufficient stomach acid? Is so, why would one need injections. In addition, does this mean that b12 in tablet form will also be absorbed? ‘Vitamin B12, bound to protein in food

I explained that as I had been diagnosed with pernicious anemia I would not be able to absorb the oral B12. She then explained that new research was suggesting

We think it may have stopped...!!
Hi all, Following my wife's PLMS for the last 2 years we THINK we may have managed to stop it. No real ground breaking treatment but consistent attempts with trying multiple vitamins and supplements. The breakthrough came following the regular use of iron bisglycinate supplements; a combination of 2

B12 Folate
Hi All I read some time ago that registered alcoholics (alcohol dependent in the pc world) had b12 injections as alcohol destroys b12 in the liver. The other day, I read that folate is wiped out by excessive alcohol intake. Is it the case that both b12 and folate are affected by alcohol intake and, is

Blood results inc vit D. Can somebody advise please?
Received my vit d results today, which is low. I also had my results back from the doctors, although it seems they don't check ferritin anymore so will have to do that one myself too!! I have also included my finger prick results for my thyroid. I am still suffering from fatigue, but also internal shaking

Supplement with Iron, Vitamin C and B12 interaction
Quick question, I was looking at this supplement. I’ve read that Vitamin C can reduce dietary absorption of B12. Would the B12 content in the supplement be reduced because of Vitamin C? Can assume it’ll be further taken with orange juice. Thanks! Thorne’s Ferrasorb Vitamin C 15mg B12 300mcg Methylcobalamin

B12 affect iron levels
Good evening everyone, I just have a quick question about b12 injection and Iron levels. I had my iron levels done before my scheduled B12 injection and they seemed to all be on the lower normal range but then I had my B12 shot and a week or so later, my iron levels are up, my diet hasn't changed and

Hi all, I’ve just had some test results back from Thriva confirming my low vitamin levels. I’m looking at taking Jarrow methyl B12 and Thorn basic B to get my levels up and maintain them but I’m not sure on dosage. Also considering BetterYou Vit D+K2 spray. Again not sure on dosage but do understand

Really upset and frustrated following a hematologist appointment--any ideas?
Hi all, I've posted on here several times after testing positive for the intrinsic factor antibody a month or so ago. Until then, I had had a year of general fatigue, then 3-4 months of increasingly bad fatigue, cracked corners of my mouth, shortness of breath, inability to exercise, forgetfulness/difficulty
