You'd be better off asking that question on the Pernicious Anemia site, I think. But I don't really think it does.
But, if your bleeding is heavy, it could be due to being hypo, or due to low iron. Have you had your ferritin tested?

Are you diagnosed as having thyroid disease?
Heavy periods are classic sign of being hypothyroid
Also heavy periods tends to cause Anaemia, as for full iron panel to test for low iron and ferritin
Vitamin D and folate need testing too
See you are on B12 injections, are you also supplementing a daily good quality vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid
