Hi, really good books to read are by Martyn Hooper from the Pernicious Anaemia Society. I wear a vitamin B12 patch once a week, but my children all have B12 shots. They took sublingual B12 every day, but it was not getting through very much. The link to APS, is that Pernicious Anaemia is an autoimmune disease. nhs.uk/conditions/vitamin-b...

I was told 'most likely' - I started becoming deficient about 5 years ago, 25 years after acquiring APS, 12 years after taking anticoagulation.

Hi I have exactly the same, went from 6 monthly injection to 3 monthly due to the symptoms you mention, have always assumed it due to APS. 😊

Hi mummyb08 yes I find it very strange I would never have found out I have APS if I hadn't been trying for a baby I also have read that b12 affects fertility too so I would imagine the dots all join somehow 😊

Hi, I too have APS, SLE, PH, and heart diease. On Warfarin, prednisone, plaquinal. Oddly I have very high B12 levels. The only thing I think is contributing to the very high b12 is I sprinkle brewers yeast on everything. Brewers yeast is high in b12, and I was takeing a b complex capsule daily. Because my b12 is too high, I've stopped the capsule and just use the brewers yeast. Try some brewers yeast with a superior B-Complex and hopefully that could very well increase your b levels. Cheers Holly

Wow I must give that a try but I think the reason I get injections direct into muscle is because my body doesn't absorbs it where can I buy brewers yeast (health shop) and thank you 😊

Hi again. The brand is Bob's Red Mill Nutritional Yeast. Good luck.

I too have very high levels of B 12. But all my symptoms point to low B12. It’s really weird. Doctors told me don’t take B supplements and easy pills n meat, etc. but I never ate much meat and don’t take supplements so I’m at a loss.

That is very strange indeed! 🤔🤔

I have Pernicious Anaemia causing my B12 deficiency and APS. Both diagnosed at the same time. Having seen a neurologist, I now get injections monthly as I believe is now in the guidance if neuro symptoms are present. Still start to get very annoying restless legs before injection is due but definitely better than 3 monthly.
