High B12
Hi everyone, My B12 was very low in August so I started supplementing 50ug B12 everyday sublingually, I didn't feel much better so raised it to 200ug for a few weeks. I had my Active B12 checked today and it's way over range! Should such a small amount have caused my B12 to go so much over range? Should

Vibration in groin
That’s very interesting that vitamin B12 is mentioned because I started taking Costco’s Zip Fiz B12 three months ago and just starting having this vibration in the right groin today. Maybe I am getting too much B12?

Hi All I was diagnosed b12 deficient over five years ago. It is my contention my deficiency was caused by a combination of being a vegetarian (close to vegan) and being described the above ppi on six monthly prescriptions - I was on the drug for over six years. I am still receiving injections 12 weekly

Can anyone help me with regards to the NICE guidelines in relation to Vitamin B12? I've been experiencing some neurological symptoms over the last week. Started off with tingling in my hands which travelled to my arms. went to A&E the doctor did no bloods and said it was a migraine. Fast forward to three

Medichecks Thyroid Ultravit test advises stopping any supplement containing B12 for 1 week prior to testing?
I am confused as all the advice on this forum says to stop any B12 supplementation for 5-6 months before testing....however the Medichecks test says stop for a week..., also Sheep’s milk is high in B12 so would that not skew results also..., if these foods/supplements are part of your diet and raise

Does anyone know anything about iron, ferritin, folate and b12 levels?
Hi everyone, I’ve recently had private blood tests to investigate feeling unwell and extreme fatigue. Luckily my thyroid seems okay (sorry to post on here but everyone seems so knowledgeable). So....from the tests I seem to have Iron levels - in higher level of range Transferring saturation - slightly

B12 and folate up but ferritin down
Does anyone know why when my B12 and folate levels have gone up my ferritin level has dropped? My doctor just marked all the results as normal without mentioning the drop in ferritin. B12 went from 320ng/L to 785ng/L Folate 6.6ug/L to 24 ug/L Ferritin 66ug/l to 36ug/L

What tests should I ask for?
Going to be going back to retest (after waiting to see if my T3 levels would magically jump up to where they need to be without changing any medication), and I'm mulling what tests to ask for. Of course, TSH, T3, and T4. I have never been tested for antibodies, but if those come out positive, what

B12 active test for P.A?
Hi, I’ve previously had a B12 serum test (suspected b12 deficiency) from my gp which has come back normal. P.A runs in my family and I’m very symptomatic. I’m looking at getting some private tests done but am a bit confused if anybody can help? I have seen that for some people who suspect pernicious

B12/MTHFR
my wife is poorly having all symptoms of B12 deficiency. Unfortunately GP is not helpful, she seems oblivious to this problem, that's very worrying. I provided GP with many papers including stuff produced by pernicious anaemia society, haematology committee, Sally Pachaloc etc also the video by Sally
