My B12 was very low in August so I started supplementing 50ug B12 everyday sublingually, I didn't feel much better so raised it to 200ug for a few weeks. I had my Active B12 checked today and it's way over range! Should such a small amount have caused my B12 to go so much over range? Should I try a much smaller dosage in capsule form instead.

50 mcg is about 20 times the RDA. 200 mcg is about 80 times the RDA. If you don't have an absorption problem (and you obviously don't) then it's no surprise that your levels are sky high.
I'd keep up with the 50 mcg tablets and see if they relieve symptoms. If they don't then your problems probably aren't caused by a B12 deficiency. Injections wouldn't get your levels much higher, so no point in trying them
Hi Hormone hell (great name by the way). This is what works for me. I have vit B12 injections every 10-12 weeks, 5mg folic acid every second day and......I tried sublingual but didn't like taking them like that so I buy 1000ug tables and take 6 every day. They are absorbed in the bowel not the stomach, so they do get absorbed however from every 1000ug you will be lucky to absorb 100ug, hence my reason for taking 6000! You can't overdose and I like a very good store in my body, high blood results are irrelevant to me and they should be high, it's not an issue. I feel very well following what Indo (after a very long time persevereing and being so ill). I will not change anything.
I really laughed once when I was exploring oral and sublingual tablets and a chap on this site once said, stop the nonsense of taking one or two wee pills, take The Whole tub and you'll feel better. He was infact not so far of the mark, as you can't overdose, yet at the time I wondered why he said that xx
