I was diagnosed b12 deficient over five years ago. It is my contention my deficiency was caused by a combination of being a vegetarian (close to vegan) and being described the above ppi on six monthly prescriptions - I was on the drug for over six years.
I am still receiving injections 12 weekly having stopped the ppi over five years ago a good year before my b12 deficiency was diagnosed.
I now have stomach acid attacks regularly and they have become quite severe.
If I go back on the omaprezole will it affect my absorption of b12 from the injections and from the 1000 ug b12 tablets that I take daily?

Hi Alfabeta as long as you are receiving B12 injections taking PPIs should not affect your levels. Reducing the acid in your stomach however will reduce any likelihood of absorbing B12 from tablets via your digestive system although some might "get through" via you salivary glands.
Personally I've been taking Lansoprazole for more years than I can remember, am on B12 injections and also use a methycobamalin spray each day.
Thank you Clive. Although you claim not to be medically trained you know far more than my doctors and most of the doctors I have consulted. I think I will go for an oral spray in addition to my tablets.
