Everything is out of kilter again
Hello everyone, I only post on here when my health isn't great so the fact that I haven't posted for 3 years is good news. I have an underactive thyroid and b12 deficiency which I am treated for with Levothyroxine and B12 injections every 10 weeks. I've been feeling great for ages, but towards the end

Got Homocysteine lab back
Lab result of Homocysteine: 12.9 range: 0.0-15.0 Still waiting on the others. I couldn’t wait four months to check b12 but have been off b12 for atleast 2 months I believe. It’s not out of range so this must be a good thing? I googled it and it said homocysteine can indicate b6, b12, and folate deficiency

Concerned if Getting Right Treatment
Hi Everyone, I hope you can help... A month ago my blood tests came back as being low in Vitamin D, B12 (borderline low but out of range) and low folate. My liver results were also all over the place but I have Hemochromatosis (Iron overload) so it's difficult to know what's causing what. Hopefully

Vitamin deficiency and POTS
I haven’t been diagnosed with POTS so let me start there. Just got diagnosed with Vit D and vit b12 deficiency a little over a week ago. I have since been supplementing. I’ve noticed the last few days, not every time but more than once a day, when I get up to walk around my hr gets really elevated. Today

Homocytiene levels and b12 deficiency - connection between anaemia and depression...
Hi, Wondering if anyone has seen the research on homocysteine levels and depression, as we all know elevated homocystiene is an indicator of p.anemia but I had no idea it was also correlated with depression. I find the winter months a bit tough so I thought I'd share that in case anyone is wondering

Advice on vitamin D deficiency?
Hi, I hope you’re all well! I found out the other day that I’m severely deficient in vitamin D. My doctor has prescribed 20,000IU of vitamin D twice a week for 7 weeks, but I’ve also read that you should take vitamin K and magnesium alongside this. How much should I be taking of these vitamins alongside

Hypothyroid or not?!?! Do I need Medication? Please Help
Hello, I'm only 22 and in my second year at university and struggling so much and feel it's hard to get people (GP and families) to understand the extent to how bad I feel (lethargic/tired, mood swings, zoned out, poor memory, aching neck/shoulders). I'd appreciate some opinions of the experience

How Bad Have Your Symptoms Been With B12 Deficiency?
Hi all. Not looking for a scientific discussion, just out of interest really - how bad have you suffered with B12 deficiency and what sort of symptoms did you experience? I only ask as, I've been having investigations for some time now and B12 deficiency and pernicious anaemia were ruled out near the

Overcoming B12 deficiency
I have been taking B12 shots once or twice a week since last two months. After over a week without shots my deficiency symptoms return. I am wondering if this is normal? I thought the shots gets stored in the body.

2 weeks post loading doses update
Hi all, I wanted to write an update. There are a lot of horror stories online but I wanted to share some positives. Something to note is that although I am slightly anemic, my B12 deficiency was caused by long term metformin use. My symptoms were intense and mostly neurological, wide spread numbness
