Still waiting on the others. I couldn’t wait four months to check b12 but have been off b12 for atleast 2 months I believe. It’s not out of range so this must be a good thing? I googled it and it said homocysteine can indicate b6, b12, and folate deficiency as well as heart and renal failure. I started a sublingual b12 and v D3/k2 last night after all tests and took some this morning as well (1 dropper full) am I to start taking every other day for 6 weeks and retest?
Other labs that I am waiting on are b12, MMA, vD and 25 hydroxy Iron, TBIC, Ferritin, transferrin. MMA takes 6-7 days so will probably get results next week.

homocysteine is, as you say, in range - meaning your cells have enough B12, folate and everything else it needs to recycle it into a useful building building blocks.
JennaShi, optimal level as a general figure is a concept that I just don't recognise as having any validity. What is right for one individual (eg in relation to B12 levels) may be completely wrong for another and to pick a number and say it applies to all people just doesn't work.
Homocysteine is a chemical that your body makes and uses in specific processes. The range given against this test is the one that you would expect people who haven't got a problem with homocysteine to fall into - if it is higher than 15 then it starts to indicate that your body is having problems recycling homocysteine. Your level is not indicative of any problems at all.
When I first had my homocysteine tested it.was 11.7 but read that optimal was around 7 (even below). Healthy people usually have it around 7. So I increased my methyfolate and methyb12 and took it on a daily basis and tested a year later and it was 6.7. I do not have PA so I.assume it may be harder for people who do to lower homocysteine.
