B12 level
Hi naveed123 the number "looks" to be fine depending on the ranges <From -- To> but why are you asking the question?
Do you have any symptoms that you are concerned about?
Why was your serum B12 tested?
I am hypothyroid patient and on thyroxine. My tsh is 2.18(0.4 -4.9)My endow recommend for b12 and said fine. The range for b12 is 100-800.
People with autoimmune disorders (especially thyroid disorders such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Grave’s disease) are at an elevated risk of developing a Vitamin B12 deficiency.
Are you able to eat meat, fish, seafood. eggs, or dairy produce as these foods are the natural sources of Vitamin B12?
Otherwise you might consider a B12 supplement, either tablets or sprays to keep you "topped up".
I am not a medically trained person so cannot comment on your thyroid issues but I've had Pernicious Anaemia (one of many causes of B12 deficiency) for more than 46 years.
I wish you well.
Is it normal - yes. It's just about spot-on for the average B12 in normal people.
Is it possible to still be deficient at that level - yes.
