Taking B supplements when already on B12 injections
Just wanted to ask about supplements. I have just ordered some igennus super b complex, as I didn't realise you could get folate in tablet form, which is in this supplement. I have tried to take the Folic acid capsules and I can't digest them very well and they upset my stomach. I will only take one

A Woman I know was diagnosed with PA 8 years ago. She was getting B12 injections every 8 weeks til last year when she was changed to the highest dose of oral B12 due to Covid. She’s not been feeling great and has lots of symptoms so called the Dr to ask for her injections to be reinstated. He’s come

Bit B12
Couple of weeks ago I took Vit b12 (Boots) after a week I developed severe Raynaud's in hands and feet. My fingers are very sensitive as they have been burnt and big toes are blue and swollen. Is this to do with B12?

Can normal iron levels but low ferritin have symptoms?
I just had my iron and ferritin levels checked due to extreme fatigue and brain fog. Which oddly lifts by noonish. My iron is normal, ferritin is 17. Can my fatigue and brain fog be from a ferritin level of 17 with normal iron levels?

Pfizer vaccine and B12?
I had my first vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine a week ago. Had my B12 injection the day before.Got some side effects from the info list including fatgue, plus brain fog and "the B12 sighs"that were the same as I experience when B12 injection is due for my PA. All other side effects are gone,

Help with B12 and folate levels
I have a history of anaemia, low vit D and low B12 (i take igennus super B complex). I went down the route of exploring whether I had pernicious anaemia because I have a high MCH and b12 levels at the lower end. Ive been on high strength B12 supplements since April 2020. Now, what is weird is that my

Could someone look over my levels?
I have a history of anaemia, low vit D and low B12 (igennus super B complex). Ive been on high strength B12 supplements since April 2020. Started high strength vit D supplements in December. I spent most days out in the sun in 2020 so didn't think I needed high strength supplements till the winter. I

B12 Pathway Genes
I read this article which discusses research on B12 pathway genes and their influence on circulating levels of B12. Most of the article was way over my head, but the parts that I did understand were very interesting. Maybe in the future gene therapy will cure some types of B12 deficiency. More research

Hair Loss - Ferritin Results
Help!!!! I've recently had blood tests to try and get to the bottom of my ongoing hair loss. My results have come back this morning and my ferritin levels are 24ng/ml (15-150) and I'm convinced this is the problem but my doctor is really unhelpful. He said that as my iron levels are ok he wouldn't advise

Can high serum B12 ever become toxic?
I have pernicious anemia and also beriberi due to prolonged thiamine deficiency. I am prescribed methylcobalamin and thiamine hcl injections. My primary care recently checked my serum B12 and asked me to stop B12 injections because my levels are at 702,173 pg/ml and she believes this is dangerous. Has

Latest results show low TSH, high FT4 but have hypo symptoms, seeing endo next Monday
Hi, this is my second post on this forum. I need some help interpreting my latest figures from a prick blood test I did with Thriva. As they use wide ranges I've included 'normal' and 'optimal' ranges that they highlight in their results. I took this test on Monday 18 Jan in the morning on fasting stomach

IRON RESULTS, Advice Please.
Hi Everyone, apart from a multitude of symptoms which are ongoing something else that has been nagging me since my last blood results in Sept 20 was the fact that there was an asterisk mark against one of my iron results and i would welcome any input from anyone who understands

Hello , my question relates to my bloods, re Vitamin B12 replete Plasma Folate level, is a result of 7ng/ml ( 4.0-20.0) considered low?
Think i may have hypothyroidism. I have epilepsy and been using medication for 40yrs, sodium valproate/epilim. Just discovering it can stop vitamins and minerals being absorbed into the body properly and cause Thyroid problems. My bloods came back as deficient in vitamin D, as 24 nmol/l , testing range

Vitamin K and D
Hi, I've been supplementing vitamin D for a while (before the pandemic) and have added vitamin K. Because I had a lot of vitamin D tablets to use up, I bought vitamin K separately. I'm not sure however how much is safe or appropriate to take. The ones I have are 100mcg which seems like a lot. I've been
