B12 deficiency and acid reflux

I have diagnosed with b12 deficiency and started my loading injections yesterday but 2 weeks ago I started getting acid reflux has anyone else had this as part of there deficiency?

If you have PA then that will mean you have low stomach acid. Bizarrely, that can cause the same symptoms as excess stomach acid.

Ok thank you but I do have a hiatus hernia and take ppi for this.Also does anyone else have a fast heart rate

Your B12 deficiency may be caused by the ppi tablets as they can reduce B12 absorption as they reduce stomach acid. Stomach acid is needed with pepsin to separate B12 from food so it can be absorbed.

I have gastric reflux with my B12 neuropathy. All of my neuropathy gets worse in the winter and for the past 3 winters (all since I started treatment) my vagus nerve doesn’t work as well. My lower esophageal sphincter doesn’t work and I reflux. I also am insatiably hungry and most dramatically my left vocal fold doesn’t work well and I loose my voice. PPI’s didn’t make much of a difference for me, but a Gerd diet has helped, mostly avoiding coffee for me. aboutgerd.org/diet-lifestyl...

Ok thank you, I also seem to have a faster heart rate that’s goes up and down depending on what I’m doing
