I am scheduled to have this procedure next month. I have heard some good things from some PD patients and would like to hear other PD patient’s prospective. My diagnosis was in early 2018. Right hand tremor, now taking 25/100 x 3 (3 times/day), my procedure will be on my left side. Meds work, but tire

What Should I Do??? So Upset!
I just found out that my eGFR is 59 (down from 61 three months ago) And I am in panic mode! Dr. isn't concerned...my blood protein, sodium, albumin are normal. My creatinine is upper limits of normal at.97 (normal up to 1.0) I have no symptoms. I also have borderline osteoporosis and was told by my doctor

B1 Intolerance
My husband has tried taking B1 twice. Firstly with powder then recently with Solgar capsules as recommended. He started on 500mg capsule in the morning then 500mg late afternoon. After 7 days he felt it was making his symptoms worse and had to stop.I read how so many people are benefitting from B1 and

Gout and CKD
Hi, everyone. About three years ago, way before I started to watch what I ate, I went to a great Chinese buffet two days in a row. Each day I literally ate pounds of beef, chicken and shrimp. On the third day I suffered my first Gout attack of my life. I won't bother you with the details, but the

IBS and a new job - major concerns and anxieties. Advice please!
Hi everyone. I have had ibs for ten years, it flares up when I’m stressed really badly, then settles slightly more (but still present) when I’m relaxed. Overall it is a daily battle, as soon as I eat something I get stomach ache and need to run to the toilet urgently. I survive by taking Imodium - I

5 year old, no longer constipated, but is scared to poo and withholds it
Hello all. Our 5 year old son was constipated 10 days ago but we gave him movicol and suppositories and got all the backlog out. However, he is now refusing to let his soft poo come out. He is shouting from pain and is in a very bad mood and is unpleasant to be with (very different from his regular character

I might not be fine on T4 only after all
This is a post I did not expect to be writing, but I may be about to join the T3 crowd for good. This post is mostly descriptive, and is intended as an update, given my previous assertions that I am well on T4 alone. Latest blood test showed a drop in fT3 to 5.1 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8). This is despite my

14 year old daughter starting Ocrevus
I am looking for any experience/advice about how badly Ocrevus could kick a person's immune system and what I should do to prevent sickness? I've read all the literature, searched the internet endlessly & then some. My 14 year old daughter starts on it next Monday, April 15th. She was supposed to start

imodium
Hi, just wondering if other people are using imodium to control symptoms. I want to take just one a day to slow things down a bit and keep weight on. One doctor in the early stages of my illness said not to take, in case it causes an infection. However after diagnosis another doctor told me to go ahead

Dystonia and Parkinson's disease: What is the relationship?
Dystonia and Parkinson's disease are closely linked disorders sharing many pathophysiological overlaps. Dystonia can be seen in 30% or more of the patients suffering with PD and sometimes can precede the overt parkinsonism. The response of early dystonia to the introduction of dopamine replacement therapy
