Hello boys and girls,

I am using L-Triodotironin Sodium 150 mcg a day ( Abdi Ibrahim)

I get itchy skin and hair when in the gym. Is that normal?

Hello Punmanuk

Are we going to have a repeat of previous posts?

Please tell us if you have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism.

According to my previous bloodwork, my thyroid level was below normal range..done twice in the last year..but doc don't really care much now days as they don't know a lot about the subject. they say everything will be fine etc and send you back home

Also I am not sure who punmanuk is

So please tell us why you are taking 150mcg T3.

Please post your test results, with reference ranges, so that members can comment.

As I feel a lot better on 150mcg and stopped piling on the weight.

My latest results are wrong and were testes for the wrong things, and I have advised to change my gp next week as he does nothing about thyroid or how the body works..so the latest blood result is a void

And you are regularly testing your thyroid levels yourself - in particular FT3 - to ensure you are not endangering your health?

Punmister in reply toSeasideSusie

Was tested before was low, doc did not do nothing..this time, new gp done everything wrong, Inc wrong tests and no knowledge

So you are taking 150mcg T3 for weight loss and not because you're prescribed it due to having a hypothyroid diagnosis from your doctor?

Have been using it for 20 years on and off..with no problem at all..

You're implying that you know what you're doing, so why are you here then?

Punmister profile image
Punmister in reply toRedApple

Yes, you may be correct to a point..but no one is perfect, everyone is leaning new things he everyday..and this is a new symptom so never experienced this before..

This forum exists to support people who need to take the medication for genuine thyroid problems. If you don't have a thyroid problem, any effects you experience are likely to be different and not something members here can really help with.

As I have said it twice in the past, my level where very low last year and nothing was done about it..now my new gp is even worst

RedApple profile image
RedAppleAdministrator in reply toPunmister

What level was low last year? Whatever it was, it's highly unlikely that you need 150mcg T3.

I get itchy skin and hair when in the gym. Is that normal?

Only you know whether this is 'normal' for you, but the very fact you're asking suggests that it's not. 150mcg a day is a very high dose of T3, which, if your body doesn't need it, will not be doing you any good. In time, you may well suffer more serious effects than just itchy hair and skin at the gym.

Fair enough..

If this was the opposite way..I would be the first one to be helping everyone..

Well each to their own

None of us here need help with bodybuilding, steroids or abusing T3 for weight loss. As mentioned when you were here a few days ago, this is not the forum for you, best ask your question on a bodybuilding forum.
