HbA1c has gone down!!!!

Does sore throat come with hypothyroidism and Hashi?
Hi All, I've had hypo for over 2 decades and manage it with thyroxine, diet, supplements and lifestyle. Never had any long-term sore throat issues, however it all started this February, when I went through a lot of stress, my thyroid went out of balance and I was struggling with increasing my meds

Initially told it was long covid but then

Vaccine and Prolonged Diarrhea
I had the bivalent Covid vaccine on 27 December (my fifth vaccine). I had noticed in the last couple of years that about two weeks after each vaccine, my bowels acted up a bit but they subsided after taking Normix. But ever since 10 January, which was two weeks after this bivalent vaccine,

Hello, I am looking to get some advice once again if possible? I posted a few weeks ago with my medichecks results as above. My ferritin was low and vitamin d. I have been taking prescribed iron tablets from drs and taking vitamin D too for 3 weeks. I am wondering what other vitamins I could/should be

Feeling woefully undermedicated……
Hi everyone, A friendly nurse practitioner agreed to run some blood tests for me this week. I remain undiagnosed. I’ve been using Metavive since January and have been trying to switch over to Thyroid S for a couple of months. I’m finding it very difficult to increase my dose (unpleasant side effects

Can the T3 within NDT elevate AM cortisol? And not be best thyroid med for me?
Good Morning. Is it possible that the NDT within the Armour I am taking is elevating my AM cortisol? Looking back my AM cortisol has been up about 3 years on and off. But at the moment I feel shaky inside , very weak quads and hamstrings, very poor energy ,worse than ever. I currently take 1 1/4

Finally being treated for Hypothyroidism.
Thanks to the advice of the amazing people in this community, I have finally been diagnosed. I went for more blood tests on Tuesday, taking the advice of the community, I fasted and the test was done at 9:10am. I got a phone call from my GP this morning and they said my TSH and antibodies were high

1st appointment after finding out you are pregnant
I found out that I am pregnant just a week ago and based on the NHS calculator, I am 6 weeks today. I have referred myself to Northwick Park Maternity but have no idea when I will get my first appointment. This is my first pregnancy so I have a few concerns: 1. Should I be taking specific vitamins

should you take supplements at the same time as the Pred dose?
I recently read not to take calcium supplements at the same time as my morning pred dose, are there any other wisdoms about taking Vit D, potassium etc at the same time as pred ? or is it better to not take anything else at the same time? thanks

Is this right or should I request a second opinion?
Been suffering fatigue on another level, weight gain, brain fog etc etc so ordered private bloods for fatigue through medicheck. Results came back as low iron, low Vit D and low T4. THS was normal. Doctors notes was possibly hypothyroid but seek GP advice. Doctor wanted to wait for iron supplements

Adalimumab serious side effects, any advice?
I had my first injection last Saturday and won’t be having another! Sheer fluke blood tests were booked for Thursday and the GP rang me Thursday evening. Sodium levels had gone very low which could lead to a coma. I’m now taking SIS electrolytes to try and raise them with more blood tests next Tuesday

Zanubrutinib and water intake and sodium level
I am a 78 year old woman who has been on a very long watch and wait since 1999. I was diagnosed in 1998 and given a small amount of prednisone and chlorambucil and have received nothing since except ivig which started in June2021 due to infections. My watch and wait is over as I will be starting treatment

Back again!
Hi everyone. I was an avid poster here many years ago (where has the time gone?). I did lose 6 stone in a year and was feeling fab at 40. Now I am 44 and put 5 stone back on over the past 4 years! My body seems hugely resistant to losing weight. I think its fed up! I try all the "tricks" that worked
