A bit disconcerting!
During lunch out with friends on Thursday I passed out. I came to having been sitting on one chair to lying out flat on 4 chairs and being told an ambulance was on its way. I was not in the area for the hospital where I was diagnosed with Microvascular Angina in May. I asked the nurses and doctor if

Serositis advice?
Hi, I have lupus and am taking
immunosuppressants
( mycofenolate) and also fexofenadine or skin rashes., I was diagnosed about 6 years ago. Over the last 2 -3 years I’ve been getting murderous stomach/ abdomen pain on and off. My Consultant has diagnosed this as serositis.

Quality of life on immunosuppressants
The side effects of the
immunosuppressants
have significantly decreased my quality of life. I felt better in kidney failure before dialysis started than I do now at five months post kidney transplant.

Am I right in thinking that some people do not/will not receive the 3rd primary Covid jab?
I am 81, 1 was on 4mg of Pred when vaccines arrived on the scene. I assume I was/am not classed as seriously immunosuppressed because I received no letter - but was simply rung by the surgery to make the appointments for jabs 1 and 2. (January and April) A week ago I received a text from my GP Practice

Cancer experts offer guidance on COVID-19 vaccination for patients with blood cancer, including Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)
While not CLL specific, there shouldn't be any surprises here. However it is still worth repeating in an unlocked post for anyone with CLL looking for guidance. [i]A collaborative team of cancer experts from leading academic institutions and organizations has released recommendations for optimal protection

First cold since being immunosuppressed
Well. I wasn’t expecting this. I don’t even think this is the flu (and it’s not covid). Just a common cold and I can’t get out of bed. Any fast acting remedies? Xx

Probiotics - which ones and how many billions?!
Hello again! This time I’m asking if any of you take probiotics. I was told by a friend it may be a good idea to take them when on drugs long term. I went to a health food shop for advice but they didn’t know about ITP or Revolade which they thought was an immunosuppressant. 1. Is it safe and advisable

Valneva COVID vaccine
I have heard very little about this vaccine (manufactured in Scotland?) and wondered if anyone knew more about it and whether it would be useful for us immunosuppressed people on the likes of Acalabrutinib. Would it be better than Pfizer? Is it approved yet?

Missed immunosuppressant dose
Hi all! I'm hoping you can put my mind at ease. I was blessed with a kidney transplant 2 months ago, and for the first time forgot to take one of my 12hr doses of tacrolimus and Myfortic last night. I took my meds as usual this morning however. I'm terrified of an acute rejection episode. What is the

3rd Pfizer
Hi everyone, Just got my 3rd or booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine in Canada. I gues being on immunosuppressive medications has its advantages for covid. First off, I am on Tocilizumab, which apparently is also being used to treat covid patients. Been on for 3 years now and have a sort of normal but

3rd Covid vaccine and booster in UK are not the same.
Posting this again as there still seems to be confusion. In England at least, vulnerable people are getting a Third primary dose now as well as a Booster. The third primary dose is not the booster, even if your GP surgery may call it that. I had my my 3rd primary dose a couple of weeks ago, though when

Lupus and COVID-19 Vaccination - UPDATED 08/10/2021 - Third doses and booster doses
Hi everyone, Many people with lupus who are on immunosuppressant medications have still not been invited for their third primary dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. We understand there is also some confusion, including with healthcare professionals, between this and the wider rollout of the booster doses.
