A bit disconcerting!

During lunch out with friends on Thursday I passed out. I came to having been sitting on one chair to lying out flat on 4 chairs and being told an ambulance was on its way. I was not in the area for the hospital where I was diagnosed with Microvascular Angina in May.

I asked the nurses and doctor if they knew about microvascular angina and none of them did. I had a blood test but they didn’t test for tropanin. The ecg and blood pressure were OK and I came home which I was relieved about. Just a bit concerned that medics had not heard of my condition and I had to explain it to them along with psoriatic arthritis and the medication taken for that which I am told makes me severely immunosuppressive.

I felt perfectly OK the next day so no harm done and the staff were all very kind and lovely. Just to confirm that I am not complaining just realising that my conditions are a bit unusual!

Hello :-)

That must have been quite a frightening experience , I am glad you are ok now

You would have thought everywhere whatever Hospital would know about your Microvascular Angina , slightly worrying that some don't

Maybe you have taught them something now :-) x
