I have had an increasing number of floaters in my right eye for quite some time. Last week I had a stye come up on my left eye, I wasn’t sure whether to take my prescribed glaucoma eyedrops, Monopost, (I read conflicting advice), so I contacted my glaucoma consultant. He told me to continue using my drops as normal and put a warm compress on my eyes for 5-10mins, three or four times a day. I’ve been doing this for six days. My stye is improving and my floaters have all gone! Have I found the magic cure!!

Solved my Floaters!

Ohh wow, that would be amazing. I sincerely hope so. I have narrow angle glaucoma and floaters but (touch wood) I am not on drops so unable to test your result. Everything crossed that you have found something that works for you. 🤞
That is great news for you and maybe for the rest of us! Have to say that I use a heat-up mask every morning for ten mins but it doesnt seem to have made any difference to my dry eye and floaters. But after reading this I will up it to twice daily, ie first thing and last thing and see if increasing it helps. Many thanks!!

Hello, applying warm compresses several times a day and avoiding touching or squeezing the stye can help promote healing and reduce discomfort. Floaters don't normally go away naturally. Over time, your brain adapts to seeing the floaters. When this happens you don't notice them as much.
Generally, people should not be concerned about seeing a few floaters in their vision if they’ve been there for some time. However, things like a new onset or a sudden rush of eye floaters, red blob-like floaters and floaters associated with a curtain-like defect all need to be investigated further by an optometrist.
