Mirena that’s moved
Hi all, Just wondered if anyone had experience of a dislodged Mirena? I had a smear and was told they couldn’t see or feel my coil, I’ve now been referred to have an internal ultrasound. I experienced a lot of pain yesterday and the doctor mentioned a chance of ectopic pregnancy, but wouldn’t send

Laparoscopy or treating endo non-surgical ways?
Hi everyone, Just writing for a bit of advice please. I am 19 years old and got diagnosed in February via MRI scan (Private). I was previously on the desogestrel pill for 2 years and then had the coil fitted in March 2021 to hopefully reduce the constant bleeding and pain. This helped the bleeding

Cerelle Mini Pill
Hi, I’ve been on the cerelle mini pill off and on for four years and originally began taking it due to heavy, painful irregular periods. Later on when I got a boyfriend it was used as contraception also. I feel that it is negatively affecting my mental health, giving me mood swings and depression. I’

Post lap Mirena coil pain
Hi everyone, I had an appointment with my GP today after I rung up on Friday about the pain I was experiencing 10 days post lap & having a Mirena coil fitted. Yesterday I had the worst pain I’d ever had in my life along with bleeding. It was like a sharp stabbing pain that started in my crotch and went

Early Mirena removal advice?
I’m 23 - never had a regular cycle, typically three to four periods a year at completely random times. I had a mirena IUD put in four years ago (age 19) after being talked into it by my GP at the time which stopped my periods altogether. I’d like to have it removed largely because I’m curious as to how

Has anyone tried having both the IUD and pill at the same time? What was your experience?
Hi all, I hope you’re doing well 🤍 My surgeon recently has recommended taking the pill on top of the IUD to try manage the endo/adeno pain that is coming back two fold. I’ve had the IUD for two years now and it worked initially for a short period of time but now it’s making my period last for up to

1 year 6 months post-lap
Hello, I was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced increased pain and periods when over 1 year post-lap? I complained about the pain 6 months post to my consultant, however that was nothing compared to this 😅 The last 2/3 months or so, I’m only getting 15-20 days break between periods,

Progestogen sensitivity / intolerance?
Hi everyone. It's barely into week 3 on combined oestrogen patch and progestogen pessaries. I have such severe physical and mental symptoms that I have stopped all treatment suddenly. This happened before when I tried HRT about a year ago but it took some months for these side effects to kick in. After

Extreme reaction to mirena coil fitting
Has anyone else had a really bad reaction from having a coil fitted? My mirena coil was being pushed out by my body and my doctor thought we should try taking it out and fitting a new one in. I had a traumatic and painful experience where my whole body shut down and was in incredible pain and almost

Post laproscopy - pain and confusion about what next…
Hi everyone, I had my lap a week ago now and they found and removed endometriosis from my pelvis, particularly on the left side and fitted a Mirena coil. When I came round from surgery I was told I wouldn’t be having a follow up appointment as the surgeon had got it all with the laser and that combined

Bloody discharge
I have had bloody discharge for four days, I'm getting very worried. I can't see a gp until Friday. It's not my period as it finished last week. It ranges from brown/pink/ dark pink and red. It looks like I will start a period but it isn't. I did have a thought, could it be my copper coil? It was inserted

Bloody discharge - is it copper coil?
Unusual bloody discharge/spotting I have had bloody discharge for 4 days now. My period finished last week so its not that. I can't see gp until Friday and I'm getting very worried. I have a copper coil that was inserted over a year ago, could this be the problem? Most info says a few months after

Tranexamic acid
My gp has prescribed this as a way to lighten my periods until the coilis fitted. I don't know when that is. I was reffered in Jun, July and gp said a 6 month waiting list Husband is against this as all his research says about heart attacks and strokes. He also said I have lived with it this long I may

Just need to vent…
For this company to stigmatize a true and genuine disability simply because it is in the DSM rather than an
ICD
code. When will people realize that it’s all one body? Uhm, all of the nerves all of the tissues all of the cells …they intermingle. it is a complete environment inside.

Has Anafranil helped anybody with their OCD?
I have tried many different SSRI's for OCD without too much luck. Currently on Lexapro which is helping my anxiety but not totally my OCD. Has anybody used Anafranil before when SSRI's didn't work for you?

Low Bp after running
After I had an
ICD
implanted (May 2020) my cardiologist said ‘do as much exercise as you possibly can’ up to a max. HR of 150. So, I’m running a steady 5k every other day (c. 7m/Km) cross country and it feels fine, but when I get home and check BP it’s always very low.
