I’m 28 and was trying to get pregnant for 9 years and eventually had my son sep 19, I have always had irregular periods and was diagnosed with pcos a fair few years ago. After giving birth my periods have been like clockwork (which I never have had) I am thinking about removing my coil to try for a second - I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience and how difficult it was second time round - additionally because my periods have become regular could this mean it would be easier? Thanks

I would take the periods being regular as a good sign. It is likely you are ovulating regularly, and your body is working like it should . PCOS can correct itself, it did in my case. If you want to try for a baby, what is stopping you? Surely the sooner the try the sooner you will see if you have any issues?
If I can ask after when did it correct itself, birth? I think more the committing and potential disappointment it could bring that is holding me back - but thanks for replying
I'm a bit different in that I didn't really have periods naturally and took the pill for years. I was diagnosed around 25 and came of the pill in my early 30's. I started having regular but irregular periods, say from 25-40 days..so almost like I still have PCOS buti don't have the hormones or the cysts on the ovaries anymore apparently. My issue hasn't been getting pregnant, as I
have been 7 times, my issue has been miscarriages. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant, and all going well so far. I would recommend anyone just to keep trying, as I had a few miscarriages, and the first one I was hospitalised. I went through all the tests and scans, as I didn't want to go through another one, but they found nothing to why I was having them other than age or weight being factors. I'm now 37, will be 38 and kind of wish I hadn't been so scared and just tried as I may have been younger having a child. You are still young and have plenty of time but it took me a year to get pregnant most times, so it can be a long wait between pregnancies if there are issues and the sooner you try the sooner you will know if there is something to be investigated.
