My journey
I am unable to take Naproxen or
Ibuprofen
due to my clotting drugs for my heart condition. I am overweight, due to my heart medications and inactivity when unwell with that/knee pain.... but have lost 6kg since early December. I look forward to reading your stories and experiences.

Drug interaction
A new, to me, GP has just told me it is fine to take
Ibuprofen
! I had already told her I was on Rivaraxaban, Dogoxin and Losartan. I looked it up on line and it says
Ibuprofen
is definitely a no no if on those heart drugs. Any answers?

Feeling Guilty
I am 1 week (on Tuesday) post laparoscopic hysterectomy, I have been able to manage pain with only
ibuprofen
800mg. I have been able to walk around with no problems or pain, just discomfort in my lower back. Yesterday and today I am noticing i am super light headed.

Help
I have been doing loads of stretches, particularly ones for shin splints and I also tried some compression socks tonight along with some
ibuprofen
gel, all to no avail. I feel really despondent and a bit rubbish to be honest that I’m only on week 2 and I have had to stop.

Another Newbie
I'll go along with whatever the next medical step is, but I'm also looking at diet and I'm particularly grateful to Eileen for the information on
Ibuprofen
. It's a drug I've always avoided (stomach issues) but I'll be doing a rethink about that! Lynne

W5R1 with a sore toe
Ibuprofen
and paracetamol taken more for after the run than anything. Out for the warm up walk, ouch, ouch, ouch. I’m never going to run like this. Jo Wiley says run. I say let’s see. W5R1 is three 5 minute runs with 3 minute rests. More running than I can remember.

AFIB, Eliquis and Gout
My question: Since I can't take
ibuprofen
anymore because of the Eliquis, what can I take to treat a gout flair up? I tried Tylenol and it was useless and provided no relief. Any help by way of comments will be appreciated.

Still Sore
I’m going to take an extra rest day, maybe some stretches and some
ibuprofen
and see how it goes. Road running is definitely out for a bit though, this is after Wk6 R1’s outdoor run and I didn’t feel this bad after the end of Wk5’s 20 minutes on the treadmill.

I want to try pre-loading

W1R2 done
Consequently
ibuprofen
obtained, new trainers bought and sports bra fitted prior to run number 2 yesterday and I'm pleased to say that something has had a positive effect as I'm planning on run 3 being tomorrow!

Pelvic pain problems
I have tried lots of painkillers and medications, including: paracetamol;
ibuprofen
; mebeverine; co codamol; naproxen; codeine (and others). But so far, nothing has really helped. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you :)

Do you have these endometriosis symptoms?
I've always had painful first two days of my period that I (sort of) manage with lots of
ibuprofen
. I haven't got any of the other usual symptoms such as bleeding in between periods. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me whether they suffer similar pain/discomfort?
