Taking ibuprofen for one month
My brother takes
ibuprofen
for about to reduce a pain due to tendinitis in the elbow. He is doing some exercise prescribed by a physiotherapist. Only those exercise does not help. Is it bad to take for about one month?

Everything hurts - almost.
There's been the Prednisolone rollercoaster - currently at 5mgs daily and of course the OTC's, paracetamol and
ibuprofen
- haven't tried co-codamol yet but will be asking for it to get a decent night's sleep. Fortunately, we have an adjustable bed so I sleep completely upright which does help.

Injured on week one! 😞
. 😟 I took some
ibuprofen
, and have spent the day resting and putting an ice pack on and off it. I don't know what i have done as I still can't walk normally, so can't see myself running for a while now, so am feeling rather sorry for myself! 😩

Salicylate Intolerance Causing My (or Your!) RLS?
These occur naturally in fruit and are high in medicines like aspirin &
ibuprofen
(not actually a salicylate but related, as in its a NSAID with similar properties and similar side effects) .

On the Bench again!!
I took
ibuprofen
, then later sprayed Deep Heat and eventually gave in and took Naproxen. Didn’t touch it!!! Spent the night in agony, then Sunday more painkillers and deep heat and thought I was feeling better. Woke at 4.00am and realised I wasn’t!!!

Is it normal to feel pain a week after Laparoscopy?
I was prescribed 600 mg of
ibuprofen
and hydrocodone. The doctor informed me that I would likely need to take the hydrocodone for a few days but to stop taking it once the
ibuprofen
was enough. Fortunately for me, the pain relief went smoothly and I didn't have to take the hydrocone.

My joint pain is really bad so I'm taking
ibuprofen
, which is not AIP complaint. So with all my dietary changes I thought I would be doing better.... But.....

Started LYRICA TODAY / Pregabalin - need Advice on what to expect!
I have to stop taking my Metocarbamol,
Ibuprofen
and Co-codemol at once. Ive taken my first pill a good few hours ago now and my back pain is still persisting. I was very stiff and sore on some stretching exercises he asked me to do, searing pain into the area.

24 hours of being in extreme pain 😥
Took 2 codeine & 2
ibuprofen
at tea time last night, it didn’t take much pain away. I managed to get to sleep but woke up in extreme pain in the early hours of this morning and took another 2 codeines. The only way to describe the pain is like its labour pain/throbbing/can’t get comfortable.

Natural anti inflammatory?
Managed to tear the ligaments in my ankle 13 days ago, still very sore, hobbling about and very swollen by evening.I am trying to rest it as much as possible and have got a support crepey bandage on it.Obviously cannot take
ibuprofen
and am nervous of any painkillers apart from paracetamol.

Anti-inflammatory options
So, if one is not to take
ibuprofen
for anti-inflammation relief (sports injury), because of being on hydroxyurea for ET, any ideas what an alternative might be? Acetaminophen is fine as a pain reliever but it’s not an anti-inflam.

Late period and medicine
This month I took high doses of muscle relaxant that contains
ibuprofen
for my shoulder. I'm on the 42nd day of my cycle and my period still hasn't showed up. Pregnancy test is negative. Should i be worried or is it just the medicine? Edit: Day 49 of cycle, no sign of period.

RA, Gluten and Leaky Gut
Not only that, I have 9/10 symptoms of leaky gut... which could be caused by the
ibuprofen
I’ve been having, and by RA, and now Naproxen will make that worse, as I’ve been researching, it affects the gut an can cause leaky gut.

Plantar f******tis and new resolution
It was worse the morning after a run, improved with rest and
ibuprofen
. It’s put me off running longer than 5k and playing with intensity during a run.

Sweet Dreams?
Related to a previous discussion on the site I actually took an
Ibuprofen
yesterday at 5 a.m and this seemed to calm me greatly (more evidence on the role of inflammation or placebo?). But today I wondered if - upon awaking - I ought to take some Mucuna.

Knee pain!
I hobbled home and have iced the area and took
ibuprofen
. It wasn’t visibly swollen, and felt no pain when elevated and kept still. 48hours later, seems better. So any ideas what I did to it? When shall I attempt another run?? Thanks for any advice.
