Late period and medicine

I have irregular periods. My cycle ranges between 34 and 41 days with the occasional 26. This month I took high doses of muscle relaxant that contains ibuprofen for my shoulder. I'm on the 42nd day of my cycle and my period still hasn't showed up. Pregnancy test is negative. Should i be worried or is it just the medicine?

Edit: Day 49 of cycle, no sign of period. Nothing in ultrasound and normal hormone and thyroid blood tests. Negative HCG blood test. I do have some back pain and bloating though (one of my pms symptoms), but they come and go. Was looking back and I don't remember any case where i could be pregnant. Had protected sex mid-cycle (supposedly), then round 2 was unprotected but there was no ejaculation and he peed before doing it. Yet i'm terrified of being pregnant. So now what?

I suffer from very heavy flooding periods and ibuprofen definitely reduces them. It is listed on the NHS website as a treatment for heavy periods and if you Google stopping/reducing periods with ibuprofen, loads comes up so perhaps it's that. Maybe give it a few more days and then see a gp?

I don't think ibuprofen would affect your menstruation, but check the leaflet in the packaging or look up adverse effects online.

I'd suggest seeing your GP sooner rather than later, in case there is something awry.

I saw a GP yesterday and got an ultrasound done. Completely clean and healthy. He asked for hormone blood tests which i will be doing today, and i will go for another pregnancy test just in case. 44th day of cycle and nothing...
