Ibandronic acid

I have been on Ibandronic Acid for bone health on a 150g monthly dose. Now I want to use low dose Estrogen based patches instead of Ibandronic Acid. I do the usual weights, exercises, and walking etc as well.

I am starting month 6 of Letrozole, have had 1 Ibandronic acid treatment and have just been taken off my Abemeciclib tablets after almost 8 weeks as my Liver ALT is 12 times greater than upper acceptable limit.

With aggravated osteoporosis my partner has been offered the choice of monthly doses of Bonviva or a six monthly injection. Which would be most effective to mitigate the osteoporosis while remaining compatible with an AF/pacemaker regime that includes Amias, Sotalol, Furosemide, and Apixaban?.

I have been on Ibandronic Acid for 2 years after 3 years of Alendronic Acid, making it a total of 5 years this year. The last time I spoke to my doctor she said that the Osteoporosis specialist said that as I was young, I am still only 56, that I could stay on Ibandronic Acid for 10 years.

And was I wise to take myself off ibandronic acid? Would these bad aches and pains be down to taking myself off ibandronic acid?

At the start I was also advised to take Ibandronic acid to make the bones take up calcium and avoid osteoporosis, and also a PPI to line my stomach and supposedly prevent ulcers.

Any one on Ibandronate? Am OK for first 3/4 days then for a few days feel achy, tired and just lacking energy. Does this improve or get worse? Been on them 5 months now. Score T-3.7 in forearms
