Trying to follow a healthy lifestyle while on long term drug therapy

So finding my lump and realising I had Breast Cancer has taken me on a strange journey. I'm a healthy active 75 year old carer for my darling hubby.

I am starting month 6 of Letrozole, have had 1 Ibandronic acid treatment and have just been taken off my Abemeciclib tablets after almost 8 weeks as my Liver ALT is 12 times greater than upper acceptable limit.

I take a high dose of vit D3 daily, magnesium and a multivitamin/mineral supplement as out Health service would prefer us to take zero supplements.

A continuous battle between toxic chemicals (in drugs) and healthy life giving food causes my digestive system to be under stress.

Looking for a group of supportive people who also look outside the box

So sorry you are here or having to join the forum. This is a great group to bounce ideas.

Outside of Milk Thistle, Tudca or other dietary supplements the only suggestion would be to drink more water. Particularly 1st thing in the morning prior to eating.

Curious if you have had your vitamin D tested? If on the higher side you might be able to cut back on that. My Onc wants my Vit D to be around 90 ng/ml and it took me about a year to get there by slowly increasing my dosage after quarterly blood tests.

Another consideration is to dig deep into your diet and your gut health. Before my journey started I had no idea how gut health affects just about everything in your body.

Good Luck!
