Violin string adhesions
Hi, I had a
hysterectomy
20 years ago after 2 years of a lot of pain. The gynecologist said its fibroids. When they operated they found my abdomen was all stuck together with what he described as violin string adhesions.

If you had a hysterectomy and/or oophorectomy- what was the trigger?
Hi, I have an appointment next week and try to anticipate what might be coming and prepare questions. It will be my first gynae appointment but I already have the MRI scan results via my GP. I have recto vaginal endo, my pouch of Douglas is full, I have DIE along my uterosacral ligaments, tethering

Decapeptyl & HRT
I had been pain free since starting the injections and had hoped this was the start of the end....when I can finally have my
hysterectomy
but now I just feel at a loss again 😭 Does anyone know if the bleeding/pain will ease off if I persevere on HRT for a week or so more?

Hysterectomy & ovary removal - what do you wish you'd known first?
However, in the meantime, I'm trying to understand the implications of the far end of the spectrum -
hysterectomy
& ovary removal. I don't even know what to ask. I'm almost 42, so hope I would take HRT add-back to protect against bone loss.

Borderline ovarian cells
Recommended to have
hysterectomy
but as my husband was ill asked to have ovaries fallopian tubes and cysts removed as recovery time was quicker. I had this surgery done on Jan 2021 and biopsy from omentum.

Fibroid pain
I have had an ultrasound done last month and the fibroid is now 6.3cm by 6cm and the doctor said my uterus has grown from 8cm to 12cm, he thinks best option is
hysterectomy
although has given me the option for hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to see if anything can be done without need for full

Starting the endo diagnosis journey but I'm still not sure...
My mum also suffered with extremely heavy periods and had a
hysterectomy
at 33. My symptoms are all over the place and this had left me doubtful about my suspected diagnosis. I'm now on the waiting list for a laparoscopy to see if I actually do have endometriosis.

Follow on from my previous post about not relying on Drs and diagnosis’s and suppressing your own endo!
Once again I will be in the hands of 3 surgeons, I am having a total
hysterectomy
, both ovaries gone, part of my bowel, my one and only fallopian, cervix, possibly part of my vagina, I will be left with stents in both kidneys but first they will have to separate all my organs, remove thick dense adhesions

Having ovaries removed
Hi all, I wondered if anyone hear had a
hysterectomy
but kept their ovaries and then had their ovaries removed at a later date? I'm wondering what the difference was in the pain levels once they were removed. Was it worth it? Pros and cons etc Thanks xx

Could this be Lupus? A very long journey...
I have since had a
hysterectomy
and oophorectomy. But since trialing HRT multiple times, I've reacted terribly and had major flareups which can last for weeks. On the note of flare ups, they can be 2 days or 6 months.

Hysterectomy without adenomyosis or fibroids?
Hi all, Is there anyone out there who has had (or is planning) a
hysterectomy
for endometriosis, without a confirmed diagnosis of adenomyosis, fibroids or heavy bleeding? What symptoms ultimately influenced your decision to have
hysterectomy
, and how are you going now?

Abdominal cramping
I am now six weeks post
hysterectomy
, heading for staging surgery next week after the discovery of ovarian cancer in addition to the endometrial cancer. For the last week I have been struggling with awful stomach cramps pretty much constantly.

Looking like full
hysterectomy
for me. Swollen tubes, cysts on both ovaries and apparently have to have appendix removed also, something to do with it sticking to uterus god knows! Terrified but also looking forward to not feeling like I've been hit by a truck 24/7.
