I was diagnosed with endo in 2017 and had Laproscopy, things got so bad I had a hysterectomy (kept ovaries) in December 2019.
I am now seeing my consultant tomorrow as the last 3 months around the same time (end/beginning of month) I have such bad cramps, back and leg pain, frequently needing to poo (6 times a day sometimes more!) And when I do there is blood in my poo.
Does this sound like I have bowel endo?
Is this cycle due to me still having my ovaries and therefore still having my period cycle, Which is flaring up each month?
I would be really grateful for any thoughts/advice.
Thank you,

Hi I had endo elaffecting my bowel and ended up having to have a resection.
I was going to o the bathroom several times an hr on the bad days and several times a day in general.
My pain always used to be 3days before my period, 4 days of my period and then 3days after my period. Bowel movements in between were always excruciating.
Pls feel free to search my posts as I have discussed my story several times with various ppl and feel free to ask any questions I will do my best to help
I also have endo and the gyno told me I have a big pocket of womb tissue between my uterus and my bowel and I have bowel issues as well. It's well worth asking you dr about- mine was really good and she confirmed that even though the endo is not in my bowel it is affecting bowel movements and causing intestinal pain. I have extreme bloating, consitpation and diarrhea, as well as lots of blood in the stool. They thought I had IBS but then said I didn't, now it might be endo causing the bowel irritation. It's really frustrating being told different things by different doctors. I guess your ovaries will still release an egg each month, hence the pain being worse around the time of your period? And your ovaries will still release hormones which can contribute to the endo symptoms. Make a list of your symptoms, ask about bowel endo and I really hope you get an answer soon. Get a second opinion if you have to. I went over 5 years without a diagnosis, it's a tough road but I hope you get your anwser in the end xxx
I've had my consultant appointment and they said from a gynecology point of view there's nothing seen that would cause my symptoms so he is referring me to a bowel specialist. I just want to know what's going on.
