Referral out of area?
After a recent diagnosis of Hypermobility Syndrome my rheumatologist has asked my GP to refer me for
hydrotherapy
. Every time I try to do 'dry' Physio or exercise, I end up hurting myself hence the hydro suggestion.

Hi, I joined a hydrotherapy class and enjoyed it, I could not go last week because my neck shoulders and arms were painful. In fact I was in
Pain for 4 days. I notice lots of you run, i cannot run because of. Degenerate disc disease in my spine. Does any one do power or brisk walking. I might walk and do hydro therapy. Thanks for any suggestions.

One month check on Tuesday to see how I am adjusting to diagnosis of Fibromyalgia"....
I plan to ask for Rheumatology referral and
hydrotherapy
if available as I don't want to go back to living on painkillers again to cope.... Does anyone on here have anything else I can request?

Natal hypnotherapy -- best book/CD?
Hello ladies! I'd really like a natural calm labour (I'm only 12weeks in my first pregnancy so thinking ahead!). Does anyone have any experience with UK Natal Hypnotherapy? I'd like to buy a book in the first instance but would like some advice on the best one out there. Thank you!

Feeling rotten and very low
Because of the way the surgery has treated me lately I've not really been on top of the pain even when I was taking all of my drugs, and my rheumy has written to my GP suggesting he introduces Gabapentin and amitriptilyne and refer me for
hydrotherapy
for the HMS she diagnosed.

Hi all! I'm carer & mum to a Fibro sufferer looking for information & friendship. You seem like great people, can I tell you our story?
Physically she improved, with regular physiotherapy and
hydrotherapy
, but her mental health didn't, and by the age of 13 she was clearly suffering from depression. She eventually had a total breakdown and was hospitalised in a psychiatric unit for adolescents when she was just 15.

Does anyone have Post Hydrotherapy Flare up ?
I had some
hydrotherapy
on Friday, immediately after I began feeling unwell and weak and just made it to sit in the car. As the hours progressed I began having pains in my lower back and waist, legs and arms. Previous hydro sessions left me out of energy for days. I don't know what to make of it.

And advent of ideas 10 - hypnosis
My local library service recently started a digital audiobook loan scheme and I noticed there were some weight loss resources on there, so I decided to give it a go. Losing weight has involved more conscious attention than I would like it to... meaning that it could be derailed if other aspects of life

Anyone used hypnosis audiobooks for weight loss?
My local library has started lending digital audiobooks. Not many in the catalogue so far but whilst I was browsing through I noticed quite a few hypnosis titles, so I decided to borrow one and I have been listening to it. I'm not sure what I think to it - there are so many reasons for being overweight
