Drop in FT4 and FT3 but no change in meds.... confused!
Evening everyone, its been a while since I've been on here. Hope everyone is well? I have an appointment next week with my Endo and as he always does he sends me for bloods a few weeks before, for some reason this time they forgot to do the FT3 and he wanted to check my morning cortisol too, so he sent

Prostate cramping...
I recently finished up 40 sessions of radiation. First, generally over the prostate bed, finally more targeted "boost" at prostate and lymph node areas. Doc cut short the plan from 46 planned because my pain is so bad. I have these intense cramps that make me feel like im going to crap my pants...

Confused about acquired adrenal insufficiecy
Just had a confusing telelphone call with endocrinologist. I had my second short synacthen test a few weeks ago. It showed adrenals not working. I am on 5mg of pred. The test was organised by rheumy when I got down to 5mg. Todays endocrinologist said 5mg was too much and adrenals would not wake up on

I have had CLL for about four years. I am currently on active surveillance and treatment naive. I had a spinal fusion on July 17 for L4-5 due to Spondylolisthesis. I feel like I’m recovering as well as I can expect from the surgery. My hemoglobin dropped to 10 post surgery so I have been very tired but

Synacthen Test looming in a moment...quick query
Morning all, I've been missing this forum due to events taking a turn for the worst. I'm at the lowest ever dose 5mg pred. Not been feeling well since January, loss of appetite, occasional vomiting, the worst insomnia and even more fatigued. Upper endoscopy showed 'sliding hernia' (gp's suggestion).

Hydrocortisone versus Prednisone
My wife was diagnosed with addison's disease, she started using predsinose up to 7.5mg daily and 0. 2mg of fludrocortisone, after starting the treatment she had a slight improvement, she came out of the crisis she had when she was diagnosed with the disease, but to have a slow pace of life, she did not

Burning mouth
Have you ever experienced burning mouth or burning in any other part of head? Recently I noticed tingling in tongue and twitching. Twitching stopped and now I feel burning. Hydrocortisone and LDN?
Hi all, wondering if anyone has tried hydrocortisone and LDN at the same time? I've just started low-dose HC for very low cortisol (ahead of adding T3 to T4 shortly, trying to make it easier on adrenal system). I keep going back and forth about LDN and whether it's worth trying or if it's too much at

Another auto immune condition: Lichen sclerosus
I'm in shock. I've just been diagnosed with another auto-immune condition, just as my PMR seems under control. I was diagnosed with PMR in April 2019, and with a few flares I'm now on 4.5mg prednisone. Lichen sclerosus is an unpleasant condition, mostly post-menopausal women, no known cure, just topical

Very High Reverse T3 level. Should I be concerned.
Out of the blue I decided to get my Reverse T3 level checked as I’ve never had it done before and I was rather curious. I have Central hypothyroidism. I currently take 150 mcgs of Levo , 20 mcgs T3 and 10 mgs of hydrocortisone. My most recent blood results were - TSH - 0 ulU/ml

Adrenal crisis experiences & prevention please.
After witnessing mum’s full on adrenal crisis - unconscious for 90mins - we are thankfully now back home. I have emergency hydrocortisone and packs to read regarding all the different sick day rules. The endocrine nurses were lovely and I now have their contact details, but I am wondering if any
