Finally hopefully circumcision
The time from seeing a GP to getting an appointment with a specialist and then again to the actual surgery is rather a postcode lottery!
Where in the world are you?
In the UK, where I am, it can be a couple of months or so between the GP making the referral and you actually seeing a urologist. Then on the waiting list for surgery for what? 1 year or more probably, as circumcision is regarded as normally being non-urgent so gets pushed back down the list regularly to make way for more urgent use of the operating theatres.
Sometimes it is better to bypass that route entirely and go straight to a private specialist clinic where you could be seen as soon as the following week and definitely wouldn't have to wait more than a month (unless you preferred to delay to suit your own agenda.)
I f you can afford it go privately to a Spire Hospital… cost you £250 to see a consultant & £2000 for the circumcision….would all be sorted for you in a couple of weeks 👍
My GP told me that the NHS wouldn't see it as a priority so I went private. As it was during Covid restrictions I still waited 3 months from seeing the consultant to the actual procedure. It was also a very civilised experience in the private hospital
Sounds like you definitely need Surgery. You could go back and say it effecting you mentally ?
I had mine pre-covid. From seeing GP to Surgery way 10 days ! But they thought it could be cancer so it was rushed through. Consultant even came in off holiday to asses me.
Sometimes the NHS deserves a pat on the back. 👍
BTW, It was Zoon's Balanitis but symptoms are similar and recommended treatment the same.
