Treatment for Hand dermatitis
Hi can anybody recommend a treatment for hand contact dermatitis, I have tried using an unperfumed base cream/ lotion, lavender and tea tree and although it helps for a little while nothing stops or clears it for long. I dont like to use steroid cream on a permanent basis and am getting desperate!

Has anyone had difficulties coming off Prednisolone because your body has lost its ability to make its own steroids?
Having a diagnosis of WG I was on Prednisolone, 40 mgs a day, from early 2011 with gradual tapering to 5 mgs a day by Feb 2012. I have remained at that level since and the team at Addenbrookes would now like to take me off steroids altogether. However this is not possible as, following a Synachen blood

Hi my first time here. I am female aged 53 and have had RA since 1995 and had Sulphasalazine then after ten years went on to Methotrexate, then MTX 25mgs injectable and most recently since last year with added Lefuonimide tablets 10mg. I know this is not holding my RA much at all at the moment. My

Hello! So I had a dermatology cons today. Things seem to be getting very weird. Basically docs dont really know whats going on just that something is definately wrong (I suppose you could say Im in multiorgan failure but I wont let myself entertain that notion too much). So got the usual new dressing

Topic of the Month: August - Insect Bites
Severe reaction to insect bites is a feature that is experienced by many lupus patients. Lupus patients are susceptible to insect bites and tend to have severe and prolonged reactions.
What is it that causes a reaction when an insect bites you?
When an insect bites, it releases saliva.

Eye problems
I feel that my eyes are deteriorating. Some days my vision is a bit weird and things seem a bit fuzzy and have to wear glasses all the time other times my eyes are ok. It seems when I am tired and in a flare they get worse. I am not on the malaria tablets. Does anyone else get this?
