Flu jab reaction
I had a flu vaccination for the firs time ever 10 days ago in my arm - which doesn't have lymphoedema - and had a mild reaction e.g. pink, swelling, sore. It subsided after three days but then my right leg became very painful from top to bottom and was swollen. I have lymphoedema from the waist downwards

Why am I going cold?
I'm normally a very warm person. My treadmill is out in an unheated conservatory. When I run on the treadmill, I always have a separate fan blowing full blast as I get so hot. Just lately, about 1 hour after any of my runs/exercise (treadmill or outdoors) I get extremely cold? Is there a reason

Hi everyone I have PVR jak2 + and my husband has CLL. We live in Bulgaria so language barrier, are we safe to have the vaccine? Husband heard that CLL sufferers can’t have it. We have both had the flu jab but we need info as we want to visit relatives in early 2021. Thanks

Question about vaccine eligibility
Apologies if it's been covered already but I couldn't find anything following a search of the forum. Since the beginning of the pandemic the nhs has been pretty clear that even if your asthma doesn't require you to shield you would still be at higher risk of complications. That pretty much reflects my

Anyone get extra sensitive skin since having RA?
Excuse the close up, I cropped my mustache from it 😅 I just put some under eye cream on which I have used before with no problem and now man alive my skin is on fire. The red is creeping down my face now and it burns like a good un. I had my flu jab last week and since then things have gone bonkers,

Best protocols in taking the COVID vaccine?
Hi all, have your rheumies provided advice on how best protocols in having the vaccine? What I mean is with the Shringrix/shingles vaccine my own rheumie instructed me to take a prednisone round for the second dose to save me from the bad side effects and avoid a flare-up. 7 of her 10 patients had excessively

Hi all, I am on 100 mcg Levothyroxine. I have never a flu jab before but does anyone know if there is any reason why I should not one? Many thanks.

The effect of influenza vaccination on trained immunity: impact on COVID-19
« In conclusion, a quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine can induce trained immunity responses against SARS-CoV-2, which may result in relative protection against COVID-19. These data, coupled with similar recent independent reports, argue for a beneficial effect of influenza vaccination against

Hi everyone. I’m afraid this is a selfish question as my sense of self preservation is taking over! I am 64 but as an AF patient I am always offered the flu jab. 19th Consolidation Run
I completed my first 5K on the Nike Running Club app. I feel very proud of myself for completing this run. I had a friend along today who pushed me when I felt like stopping. However, according to my FitBit it was only 4.88km and my friend said it was the same by his Strava, so I think next time I will

MS & Shingles vaccine
I was reading several of older posts regarding the shingles vaccine for people having MS. They have a new vaccine out that’s supposed to be so much better. Have no idea if it’s from a live culture (or whatever ) so interested in your take on the subject now.
