Gut fat after first Firmagon shots
Got the initial double shot of Firmagon five days ago. Site pain is long gone but now I have what I guess is the predicted swelling but just looks like a big blob of belly fat across the two injection points. Have been applying regular ice packs which seem to shrink it temporarily but the fat returns

My Treatment Update
So my dosage was upped to 500mg Hydroxy everyday except Mon/Tue/Wed. On those day I took 1000mg. After one month this brought my platelets down to 800. Not enough. So from today I will be taking 1000mg 5 days a week. 500mg 2 days a week. I asked my Haemo at what point would I stop taking aspirin. I

Dentist's 'corporation'
Three years ago, I was 'pushed' into PIP, about Ā£9000 a year! Then my "dentist" has 'persuaded' me to 'join' their plan, whereby I have a checkup every six months, but any fillings, crowns etc, I have to pay for, [I was given a crown recently but told that since it was done on the NHS, later quietly

Still fighting mouthsores
After one year on Imbruvica, Iām still battling mouthsores. I take Selunium and Folic Acid (both dr recommend), use a salt water rinse, have tried a couple strong antibiotics including Diflucan. Have also tried oil of oregano without success and this week was prescribed Gelclair. No relief. They last

Names of targeted therapies ...mab and ...ib
Chuck Maack found this web page and posted the link to it in another prostate cancer forum. I think it gives a really clear and useful explanation of names like "ipilimumab" and "imatinib". https://voice.ons.org/news-and-views/the-names-of-targeted-therapies-give-clues-to-how-they-work Alan

1 Episode of PAF at 46.
I am an otherwise healthy male who had one episode of PAF after getting drunk one night. It lasted about 8 hours and I was given Cardizem to reduce heart rate, but nothing else. I converted to NSR without anything else. My real bad habit is smoking which I am struggling to quit. I was on Tambocot but

Ibrutinib and a rash
I am my aunt's caretaker. She has atypical CLL. They started her own ibrutinib and she developed a serious rash. They took her off it and they are starting her again 2 weeks later. Has anybody else had this type of situation? Any success stories? She is also on allopurinol to help to prevent tumor lysis
